I'm in Taiwan next week and wondered if anyone knew of any good diecast stores in Taipei?

As iluvformosa said the wang-niang building in Hsi men ding is a great place to go although unless you speak the lingo or ar familiar with Taipei I don't think you'll find it -its a bit of a "hole in the wall" place - real treasure trove for all model stuff. I might have a map somewhere which would help but I'll have to dig it out later.

Other than that there are a couple of other more up market places that carry a big range of diecast - minichamps etc

B3 of Eslite bookstore on Tun Hwa South road theres a small store that sells diecast models and teddy bears (for some reason)- good bookstore actually - particulary magazine section.

Toyland in B1 of Taipei 101 (worlds tallest building - you can't miss it)

    Cheers

Thanks to you both. I'm here with several locals so they should be able to 'get' me to places.

Mark - does Toyland have a decent selection or just HW etc.

Are prices reasonable compared with say the US or UK etc?

    Cheers
    Andrew
