It wasnt the nicest place, but we had fun. I have to say, the Wynn is probably the nicest building I have ever seen. MGM Grand and Ceasers were pretty busy and nice too. The water show infront of...I forget which hotel cant be missed.

Those Vegas Passes sure have a lot of deals in them. Might get one just for some of the club passes :)

When I went last, I had no idea about these "passes." Where are you getting them?

for a 21st birthday, I would suggest either Palms or Hard Rock....great action at either casino.

Palms is a short cab ride from Wynn, where you can see the Ferrari's!

ebay has them all over the place. one guy is a local and sells right to his website for like $10. in the website there is at least over $200 in savings on differnt and all kinds of attractions, slot play, buffets, shows and so on. He also sells passes to clubs. do a search on vegas pass on ebay if you headed over there, well worth the $10.

I just visited for the first time (quick stop) unfortunately I missed visiting the local lamborghini dealer but I enjoyed seeing the strip as I drove by (all of the hotels look fantastic) I stopped in caesars palace took a few shots with the camera bought something for my girlfriend and we had dinner at Bradley Ogden's ($100 for dinner!) very good restaurant though. Unfortunately had to get back on the road in a hurry :( I'll be back though! Have fun!

Don't worry about the distance of any of the hotels from one another. The last time I was there with my girlfriend, we stayed at the Wynn and often would walk all the way down to the Luxor to have a night cap around 5:00 am before heading back to our room. And keep in mind the 24 hour Strip Bus. I've never been on it, but it looks clean from the outside at least.

One of my favorite things to do in Vegas at least one night a week is to just go to every hotel on the strip (both sides) and have a drink at each one. After the 8th Irish CarBomb or so, fun is guaranteed lol.

Bradley Ogden is tasty. I second that recommendation.

Speaking of Car Bombs, I heard a funny story from a poker dealer at Caesars when I was there just after St. Patrick's Day. He said a guy came in to the poker room, bought in for whatever the table minimum is on the 3/6 limit game and started ordering car bombs while folding every hand he was dealt. After he had 5 or 6, he got up and left. The dealer asked him what he was up to and the guy said car bombs were $12 at the bar, but they were free in the poker room!

mandalay bay does have the best buffet. i was in vegas about 3 years ago for the CES show, and only being 16 at the time, i still enjoyed myself. i didn't read all the posts, so this may be a repost, hopefully not, but i reccomend doing one of the rides at the top of the stratosphere. i did the hotshot, and it was awesome. it's not really the ride itself, it's the fact that your 1000 feet off the ground. looking back on it, i still had fun not being 21, but i think being able to sit down at a table and have an adult beverage, or two, or 24 would help a little bit. (the rents have already told me they're taking me there for my 21st)

Sure, at first blush there's something appealing about breaking that 21 barrier by getting hammered. If that's your thing, fine, no judgment here. But here's another thought. Why not do it in style? Have a nice, romantic private dinner with your GF, a bottle of Champagne, and a nice, expensive Cognac... Pair it with a nice meal, nice dessert, and the rest of the night can have a magic all its own, without the headache of having to hold her hair back while she loses it over the toilet later. Believe me, that's no fun :D

    Happy birthday...

lol, the way i figure it, i get some free gambling money. as for hanging out with my parents on my 21st, i really don't mind, considering we've got a pretty good relationship. im not really into drinking, and i definitely like being in control of myself. my 21st will be over the CES show in 08, and my parents and a group of friends usually go down there for a long weekend for it. usually on one of the nights they go to mortons, so im hoping that that's where we'll wind up for dinner. but then again, i still have a little less than a year and a half, so im in no rush to make plans.

I've always been curious, how good are "average" restaurants in Vegas stacked up against others?

I've stayed at Circus Circus on my only visit to Vegas. The rooms are reasonably nice - nothing special, but spacious (the bathroom was huge), clean and comfortable. The public parts of the building aren't anything special - the Casino is bland compared to others and whatever you do, don't eat the buffet there - it's worse than school dinners. There was some poor woman there in her wedding dress whilst I was there - I felt like giving her $100 and telling her and her husband to go to the Bellagio and have their buffet!

Also Circus Circus is a bit out of the action/main strip area. If I was going back to Vegas, I wouldn't stay there again - I'm 26 and have more money now than I did 5 years ago when I went - but if you hjave kids with you, it'd probably be great as they have all the amusements, etc - and for the price you pay, the rooms are nice.

One thing about Vegas in terms of Restaurants, seems like you really can't go wrong. Restaurants seem to be disliked by some, loved by others.

Also, is the Wynn tearing down it's golf course for a new hotel project? Any new casinos in the works?
