I just took my 308 in to balance the tires thinking a weight had fallen off since there had been shaking in the steering wheel at speeds from 40-80 mph.
To my horror, the mechanics shop, we noticed a bent rim on the left front. These are superformance 16" repro wheels. My question was how this could have happened? I did do a rally where I did bottom out the car at 90 mph-there was a very loud "bang".
It's a real bummer- I guess the only thing is to replace the wheel. Has this happened to anyone else?

There are places that repair wheels.

Check for some in your area.

Bummer. On the flip side, if the wheel can't be repaired, the superformance repros are fairly cheap and easy to get. I'm sure they can sell you just one replacement.
