I looked at a 2000 360 coupe yesterday with 17k miles. The car is dark blue with blue interior. It has 19' Maya wheels color coded to match the car. The car is a 6 speed. The salesman said the 30k service has been done. The asking price is 120k but the salesman said if I'm interested he could probably go down to 115k. I was originally in the market for a 355 but after reading all the problems with the car I'm a bit skeptical. I haven't researched the 360 market so it's all new to me. Your advice is appreciated.
US or euro? when was major service done? any mods or aftermkt add-on (challenge grill, aftermkt exhaust) it's all a matter of personal pref. but the blue/blue color combo is perceived "unique" by some vs. the popular "resale" red/tan or yellow/black. as far as problem, i am on my second 360 and it is rock solid....i am a big fan and highly recommend it. otherwise, price seems reasonable for clean and up-to-date serviced US 2000....best of luck to you
Stay away from the 355. Beautiful car don't get me wrong, but exhaust headers etc and the 30K service make you want to end it. Spend a few more bucks and save yourself the misery. Search button is your friend and in this case your enemy if you want a 355, becuase you will not want one after you hear all the noise about it. -A
Sounds like a good price for a US spec 360. It would be pretty easy to compare on cars.com or dupontregistry.com. Is it TDF Blue or Pozzi Blue?
I think that it would be an excellent price for a red/black car, ...but a blue interior is likely going to have limited appeal, and thus a lower selling price.. i don't think it's the deal of the century...but if the ppi checks out, and you are in love with that color combo, it could work for you!
The price sounds very reasonable, given the milage of the car. In regards to color, you really need to love it yourself, and then also consider resale if that is important to you over time. I saw the car on ebay and personally don;t love the matching wheel color, but that might me more impressive in person. All and all, a great car for 115k. Also, if they offered 115k thru just conversation, my guess is you might be able to walk away with that car for 112k.
I offered them 110k on a contingency of a PPI and they turned it down. They said the bottom line is 115k. The car has been there about 3 weeks so I don't think it's going anywhere. I think if it was a red, black or yellow car they would of sold it already.
Tony, When I'm ready, you'll be the first to know I don't think anyone would pay what I think my '00 Euro is worth Too much talking down of Euro cars G
If you want to see the car go to www.specialtymercedesbmw.com Click on to car inventory and go to Ferrari. There you will see the blue-blue 360.
