More teasers, please...
Hey , we do have spy here http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/07/17/ferrari-612-p45-teaser-images/ Reg Tad
Well you are unveiling her for all of us on the 23rd so Im sure I can wait . Was there an official weight saving total over the original Enzo?
It appears to me that the driver's side mirror mount simply has some sort of material covering up the carbon fiber. Maybe it is something due to the primer?
Hello Jim, Looking good! What are those dials on the centre console? It seems you've retained the Enzo door mechanism (where the whole side opens so that the door sill isn't too wide for entry)? Best, Peter
Commencing countdown engine's on Check ignition and may God's love be with you __ When the past, present and future on 4 spectacular wheels is revealed... planets will align... and f-chat will slow to a crawl from the sheer pull of gravity.
Air Conditioning controls. The doors open in a similar fashion but as they are a totally different shape they need a very trick custom engineered hinge. The doors close like a bank vault and have amazing seals. There was no wind noise at 267kph. Think about making this hinge... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Everyone keeps asking for a wider shot so here's one. As for Air Conditioning we've increased airflow to help the condensor keep the cockpit nice and cool using inlets like this one. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've been a long term silent reader of this post due (and the rest of Ferrari chat for that matter) for a quite a while, and have managed to read and re-read most of the past 75 pages a scary number of times. As someone who can only dream of ever owning something like a Ferrari, let alone something of this level, I have always ben wary of posting on F'chat, but I just wanted to contribute my 10p before it all goes nuts on the 23/24. Any car fan should and probably will be in awe of what you're doing, a private individual having the guts (with the help of a little more free cash than most of us) to push the boundaries further than even the top manufacturers. Top work! All I can say is that we're lucky to be able to witness it unfold in front of out eyes into the finished product. Just a quick question for the top photo - would I be correct in saying that there is a gap between the glasswork and the body, with the red bodywork overlapping the glass - similar to the air intakes on say an F4 phantom? If so, are these designed to work in the same way as on an aircraft (boundary layer separation, drag reduction, smoother airflow etc?) Or am I just reading a little too much into this !?! P.S. Hopefully you'll spark something in Ferrari that will motivate them to look to their past when creating the skin to wrap their modern tech fests in.....
Jim, I now see why I'm having a tough time finding and buying carbon fiber! It's all going to Airbus and your car!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Great new teasers jim, i am loving the cf eye candy...........like diamonds dripping of a beautiful woman on your arm.......
It's been said many, many times, but thank you again for this project and sharing it with us all. We're really blessed to have seen it from almost day 1 to now, before anyone else in the entire world. Awesome!
