I hate to do it but I just purchased a Lambo and can't keep both of them. This 348 is a real show winner. It drives and works like new. (17,046 miles) If you know anyone interested have them contact me. With the research I have done, it could very well be the only one made in this color. First $65,000.00 takes it. Call me at 954-600-2727. The guys on Florida F-chat know this car and can tell you it is worth more then that.
    Cheers, Eric

Absoutly gorgeous vehicle. Again, I have never seen this color as well.

My 348 coupe is currently on the market and I do have a potential buyer. If this goes through, I may be interested in your car. Also, as an alternative to selling the car on your own, I could market the Ferrari for you and post it on my web site for sale. This is a good alternative if you don't have the time or the patience to deal with the public.

I also have been hanging with the Florida F-chat guys recently. I haven't seen your car at any of the events I attended.

Rich, with a newborn at home I don't get much of a chance to go to the events. I have been to several Friday night car shows with them at Tower Shops in Davie.
FYI, I searched for a long time to find a beautiful pampered example of a 348 Spider ending with the purchase of this one. You truly can not appreciate this car without seeing and driving it in person. I do have the original wheels, tires, steering wheel and shift knob that are included with the car. I might take you up on your web site. I have one potential buyer at this time. I just don't think he has the funds to make it happen.

    BTW:
I forgot to mention, full 30K service was done on her 2 1/2 years ago. You won't have to put a dime into her for quite a long time.

Next thing ya know Ferrari will be saying to change the belt every year or 10 feet whichever comes 1st . Its makes you wonder "why " so often .I have owned other cars that have had the belt changed after 75-90K .
My theory is they have a room full of belts they need to get rid of .
Whats to say the the "new belt " we get isnt really new & doesnt have a year sitting on the shelf & if it was on the shelf for a year what is its expectancy ? Do we deduct a year . There should be a born on date on all timing belts in fairness to the vehicle owners .
Maybe some genius should invent an alternative permanant solution to this drain of wallets called belts . Mine was done in June , so do I have 4yrs & 11 months or 2yrs & 11months ? Who knows .

If they said 1 year, would you start doing them every year??

I have come to the conclusion that Ferrari are crooks. They will do whatever they feel like doing or saying to make more money. The last F1 races confirmed that for me.

They are a machine that people will follow like sheep. With that being said, I love my Ferrari. Dangit....

5 years is PLENTY. Unless you are trying to sell your car at some point, where some idiot will shake in fear and pout that he will have to get the belts done since you only did them 2 years and 5000 miles before.

Even though I love my car, I am growing tired of Ferraris antics. Someday, I will own a Lambo. Their factory recommendations are a whole lot less stringent and I could give a rat's behind about their lack of racing history. The F1 is a joke anyway....

    Rant over.......

    ;-)

My dad had a 308 that went over 15 years w/o a belt change and I know of many others that have went a long ass time between belt changes. All you hear about are the ones (few as they are) that broke after X miles or years, that is just bad luck. Anything CAN happen to something mechanical. My TR has thus far went 6 years and only 4000 miles since the last belt change and I am not worried in the least bit that a belt or bearing will give way.

I believe they just do it to create more revenues for the company. They know most owners are paranoid and will go along with the recommended Ferrari factory service. What a scam!

I just read all the threads here and there seem to be some documented failures under 5 yrs. I was under the impression that most people agreed with the 3 yrs but I guess not. I learn something new every day
