    Hi guys, I'm happy to see that everyone enjoyed the trip! Please don't forget to mention to any "outsiders" that I organized it...

    For the next few days I'll have a very slow internet connection (I'm on holiday in the middle of the Alps) but I'll post my own pictures when we're back. I have some amazing pictures taken while chasing (or being chased by) Patrick's F355 at very high speeds on twisty mountain roads...

    Thank you Patrick for the great driving, it's a great challenge to have your car glued to my exhausts all the time and it was great fun!!! :)

    "I have just returned from a memorable 2800 mile tour to Northern Tuscany with 11 others from the Alfa Club. I co-piloted a friend's 1978 AlfaSud 1.3, which, creditably, kept pace with the 5 more modern Alfas in the party - a new Brera (great motor!), two 147's, a 155 and a diesel GT. On the second stage of the outbound journey on Sunday 9 th July afternoon, we were overtaken on the southbound A7 Autostrada by a fleet of UK Ferraris. Amongst the hooting and waving I only managed to half read one registration RED .... We would all dearly like to know who they were and where they were going. Answers please to [email protected].

    Incidentally, we made the obvious pilgrimages to Galleria Ferrari at Maranello and to Museo Storica Alfa Romeo at Arese, near Milan. Both were mightily impressive but with very different philosophies. The former was very commercial with fees for everything and lots of official merchandise for sale. The latter was quite the opposite, with free entry (prior booking essential), no merchandise, free superb glossy brochures and a free guide, who even politely refused the offered gratuity! The common thread, fabulous examples of the rarest of the rare historic tipos of these two marvellous and associated marques. Unforgettable!

    I can remember that Alfasud very well. Thet waved very enthusiastically with their arms out of the windows when we overtook them at high speed.
