    Dear Chatters

    1987 Ferrari 328 GTB

    It has approximately 16,000 miles.
    I still have pictures. It is a 4 owner
    car. It is located in Miami Fla area.
    It is a Red / Tan car. It was on eBay
    about 8 month ago and he still has it. It
    has aftermarket wheels that looks nice.
    He has original wheels too.

    He was asking $ 48K with original wheels
    and $ 54K with aftermarket + original wheels.

    I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PRICE HE IS ASKING
    FOR THE CAR NOW.

    He has done the major service to the car
    and fixed the A/C.

    Per eBay ad :

    "The car has been well maintained to Ferrari standards and has just had a major service, new belts and etc 5/12/06. Also a brand new Air Conditioning system was installed ( COLD AIR ) 5/12/06.

    I am not a Dealer, this is a private sale and you should inspect the car to see why the 328GTB has the reputation it deserves.Please ask any question: [email protected]"

    "Yes I decided last year to use the car a little longer and I never tried to sell it again until now. The price is the same except I decided to do the 30,000 mile service and replace the leaking ac. so That bumped it a little higher. Thanks for the Interest and contact. KW "

    The auction made it to $ 49,203
    and did not make reserve. The owner
    emailed me and stated that he would
    consider $ 52,000 with both sets (2) of wheels.

    Nice looking but no bargain IMO.

    Aftermarket wheels aren't worth much typically unless they just really blow your skirt up.

    I would can the aftermarket wheels, he thinks they are worth too much. If anyone could get it in the 45-47K range, that would be a good deal IMO.

    This car has been on sale for some time.....I test drove it and it was a nice car. At the time they wanted like $55k for it. I think the current owner bought it from this guy and it was immiediatly put up for sale again. It has always had a premium price.

    I think that Ken told me that he
    has owned this car for about 2-3
    years. According to CarFax, Ken is
    the 4th owner of this car.

    Just an added thought. I am really
    considering buying this car.

    I think for the premium price is for
    the car being a GTB.

    Jack, your car is beautiful. I saw it for the first time earlier this week on FerrariAds. I wish I was ready to pull the trigger. Its very appealing to me that its actually been driven.

    Later GTBs are pretty hard to find in nice condition.....

    Or any color besides red/tan for that matter...;)

    Get the OEM wheels and books/tools...

    Thanks for the kind words. I'm not REAL wild about parting with it, but so it must be. I listed it on eBay motors--forgot how much fun that is:(

    maybe he's got it on consignment with them, and the jacked up the asking price to cover commission + what he wanted.
