Hell all this talk about buying a car just to impress people is way off. I drive an M3 and I know if I saw a Ferrari 308 I would be veryimpressed. The only way I wouldn't be impressed you ask? That .000001% chanc the same place I saw it would be a lamborghini. Let's face it the only time you usually see a lambo and ferrari together is at meets. Occasionally at a fancy restaraunt, but really people saying the "cheap" ferraris are unimpressive are nuts. My heart still falls into my stomach when I see a $40,000 348! Talk about getting your money's worth
Maybe were you're from thats the case. I am the local fca president and we have a large number of lambo owners in our club and there have many times that there are more lambos attending events than ferrari. lambo and ferrari owners share the same passion about cars I disagree with the prior comment that lambo owners (at least the ones i know) want people to know there rich. I would suggest that lambo as well as ferrari owners fall into a unique club of car owners who enjoy life thru many means including their cars. Someone once told me a joke :whats the difference between a porcupine and a porsche driver is the prick in the inside. probably the same group who made the prior comment. I love cars and have loved cars since I can remember fortunately i can afford to live out one of my passions to own one of these vehicles. Drive on ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think you should read every review of comparison of sports cars (including Lambos) from every auto mag in existence and you will saddened to learn that Ferrari wins every time. I just drove the new Gallardo, the F430, and the Vette Z06 back to back to back and I agree with those reviews. The Ferrari is just a cut above. Steve
Bill, Heritage is EVERYTHING in the world of sports cars and Ferrari has it in spades and well Lambos... don't. Take a look at ebay,if you own a Ferrari you can easily afford a Lambo. The only ones that are commanding any kind of money are the newest ones ('05 and '06), about the same price as an Fcar maybe even a little cheaper. The older ones furgetaboutit! Steve
FERRARI IS FERRARI! NO NEED TO ADD ANYTHING TO THE DESCRIPTION. A LAMBO ORIGINATED FROM SOMEONE WANTING TO OWN A FERRARI THAT BUILT TRACTORS.LAMBOS ARE BETTER THAN PORCHES BUT I'LL STICK TO FERRARI. IN ITALY YOU SEE MANY FERRARIS DAILY ESPECIALLY SUMMER PERIOD(NOW!) MANY PORCHES EVERY 1 out OF 2 SPORTS CARS IS A PORSCHE, AND EVERY 1 OUT OF 30 CARS IS A PORSCHE(VERY COMMON). SINCE I'VE BEEN IN ITALY IN THE PAST 15 YEARS I'VE SEEN 3 LAMBOS IN THE FIRST 12 YEARS, AND IN LAST 3 YEARS THEY ARE NEARLY SEEN DAILY.
I own a GT4 and a 348 thats news to me and Lambo owners are smart and averaging $$ on cars I don't own? Huh? Just bought a low mile 355 to add to my other cars, gee what do those go for? BTW Tell Ellen I would as much post on his site as go into a San Francisco tenderloin district bath house which I am sure Ellen knows much about since George Michael is his mentor dual earrings and all as I would expect the same result on your site, so sorry the jp sarti on your site is an imposter. Also I wouldn't start a thread "you guys are a bunch of fools" even though its true but more appropriately it would be "you guys are a bunch of L-queens". PS Calling that kid in a wheelchair with Ferrari stickers on his wheels a Ferrari *** sums up the site and the owners there perfectly but I am sure you see nothing wrong with it and think its funny like the rest.
JP. If you don't like LP don't go there. The fact that you seem to know every thread on LP makes tells me you find some value in LP. You also seem to have Allan envy as you try to bring him up in every post. The fact that you know so much about bath houses is also funny, I have no what the "San Francisco tenderloin district" is, why don't you start a thread about it and share your pics. I like both sites and thinks you are an idiot but that is just me. You are free to have the same thoughts of me. Hope we meet up at CI
Read the post, I was referring to 4 Ferrari owners, You are not the only person in the world. But you may be the funniest
if you read the post you werent the only person he was talking about. an idiot like you probably paid twice its worth yea I figured it wasnt you the j.p. on l-p didnt act like an idiot enough to fool anyone
Its okay I know you are flustered and upset I insulted your boyfriend Ellen, time of the month again as well? Don't worry Ellen will still let you sit in his lap occasionally while driving his Lameblo even though he is cheating on you with George Michael.
JP, I am sorry that you found out Allan is not gay, and he thinks you are a fool like most do. I am sure it has ruined some of your fantasies. But I am sure you got to visit many of those bath houses you like so much on your trip with your new 355.
Of course Ellen doesn't consider himself "gay" he is just "experimenting" and its just a "phase" that has lasted since he was 5 just like what you are going through as well.
I'm with you. It's funny to meet these people in person, because nobody makes these comments aloud....at least not where they can be heard by the offended parties.
The bigger the boys, the nicer the toys, the dumber the arguements. If I had a dime for every time someone in their muscle car or vette said something about my Porsche I could buy a Lambo and a Ferrari. And if I got pissy about every it time I would have had a heart attack or stroke by now. It's a big rivalry. Trash talk and **** happens. Get over it. Why don't some of you enjoy your L cars and F cars instead of bickering so much. I know I'm gonna go out and enjoy my P car. Have fun gentlemen.
I was on assignment in Malaysia a few years back and I met a woman on vacation from Japan. So I asked her, out of curiousity, what was the perception between Honda and Toyota in Japan (being more of a Honda guy myself, but having owned a Toyota too) and she said that Toyota was perceived as a more "high end" car in Japan, and Honda was more utilitarian, like a Caddy versus a Chevy. I found it interesting anyway. Means nothing. I love Ferraris and lambos, and with unlimited money I would have several models of each. The Countach may look like a spaceship, but it was a spaceship that turned auto design on its ear. I still think it is a totally cool looking car, especially in the metal. By comparison, the 308 seems "tame" but so much more beautiful and subtle. I need one of each. They are fantastic. I love the F430 and the Gallardo too, but between the two of them, I gotta go with the F430. But like the blonde/brunette analogy, I wouldn't kick either one of them out of bed!! I only know a couple Lambo owners and no gold chains on them. Seem like pretty cool car dudes to me. Birdman
Very funny.... A show-off dude shows off even he's in a Punto........ Both cars made out of passion. Whatever you do with your car is your own business.....lol
from CNN Money but what do they know? NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Lamborghini Diablo 6.0: $265,000 If you want to drive a really fast, really expensive car and you want everyone to know you're driving a really fast, really expensive car, this is your ride. Certainly, this 12-cylinder, 550 horsepower all-wheel-drive machine will turn heads, but don't be surprised if folks tend to snicker a little while they're gawking. Lambos can seem a little too "macho," sort of the automotive equivalent of a fat gold chain. Of course, if it bothers you, you can just hit the accelerator and take off http://money.cnn.com/2002/03/05/autos/carpoll_lamborghini/
I don't care if you talk trash but i hate it when personal shots are taken. "Ellen is out cheating on you with george michael" What the F**k does that have to do with Lamborghini vs Ferrari perception of italy?.
Lamborghinis are beautiful cars, why can't a person be passionate about the car and not be judged as a stereotypical rich man that wants to show off his wealth. You can be rich and have good tastes.
