AS I MENTIONED, I was not trying to say "that was a dumb question" or anything of the sort. I was simply trying to point the person to a great reference here in the form of the search button and add some light hearted humor to it. As you know, when dealing with text the intended message and the perceived message are sometimes 2 different animals unfortunately. :) I am glad to see that you have so much time on your hands to pour through my old posts, you must live quite the exciting life! :) In link #1, AS I MENTIONED in that query...had you bothered to read it, I DID do a search and could not come up with the information I was after. :) In link #2, that was when F-Chat went to the new format and that question had never been asked before. If you look deeper into all of my posts here on F-Chat, you will find no mean spirited or antagonistic posts at all. Please look at my profile and read my hobbies "playing the drums and making people laugh". As I was writing all of the "manys", I was cracking up inside thinking (now obviously wrongly so) that they would be interpreted as a funny way to point out the old posts on this topic. Now let's stop the bickering and make that "Mega Exhaust Thread" as you mentioned. It is a great idea!!

I have not had the pleasure of hearing a Capristo, but my the Tubi/hyperflow combo doesn't exactly suck. It does sound different. It's got a bit more roar at low rpm (like around town driving) but it will flat scream when the secondary cracks at 6k. Here's a video of a flyby at VIR:

    Enjoy!

From what i have gatherd though the Tubi is the best sounding system for the 348.
MB: Now here is a first class case of an example if a De-Cat Tubi on a 348. It belongs to jas, and boy what a sweet sound. http://media.putfile.com/348-tubi

The "Muffler" is about $3K + Install. Some of our Sponsors sell the CAP.You could probably get a Decent price for your Used Tubi. Some Owners prefer it over the CAP. Having heard them in person, i'd pick the CAP.

I heard Both. Tubi sound more refined down low but Capristo sounds better when revving.
Have you guys heard of Millie Miglia. Not as refined sound down low but (Sounds like superbike) but Spine tingling f1 scream when de catted that can be heared 5 blocks away equal or better that capristo.

If it comes down to price, millie miglia a quarter of price and a work of art.

Look at the mille-miglia under mille-miglia.com.au I have one and it is great and in my opinion better than a tubi.

I like the sound of the stock muffler, I think I will wire the bypass valve open for now. I was hoping that there was some power to be gained. Most people agree that any power gained is marginal if at all. The cappy's workmanship looks to be far superior to the tubi.

    To CHAA:

I've heard on the grapevine that Chaa is hiding from this big bruiser of a 348 owner who he dissed, who goes by the name "Angelis" on here.

....but you didn't hear it from me!
