Here's one up on ebay. #42507 Paul, this car looks like it was probably painted from the same batch of paint as your car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220010489769&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1
Interior looks clean. Still dont like the DOT picnic tables and the paint looks odd especially on the muffler guard. Think the front air dam is repairable? DMAX
I had a ferrari mechanic tell me the raised horse on the console in the carpetted section is not factory. I see the one on ebay also has the same thing as well as the 365 headers and the ansa 2 can system like mine. Interesting.....do all bbi's have the horse on the console? Cant say Ive payed attention.
I know photos are not always clear, but does this interior look like that of a car with under 10,000 miles?
Castration is in order for the one who paints the molding between the clamshell and valance front and rear. I mean it just pulls off!
just noticed that...jeeez. that would keep this car from being even a "50 foot" car. why are some boxers not treated better than this?
THAT is incredible. Makes the eBay one look like a can-of-Krylon-and-a-beer job. But I'll bet it's priced accordingly.
Yes, they do. You can see it in the photos in the original 512BBI brochure. Be careful with that mechanic.
So far it looks like it had a sloppy paint job (during federalization?) and probaby still has the heavy under bumper stuff. Are new or reproduction front/rear bumper/valence sections available? I wonder what else is wrong - has anyone seen it? What's the consensus on the value of this car? If it's a matter of replacing the body gaskets .. might be a nice car for someone. (?)
I would say the price its at now is what its worth. The kms must be wrong considering the condition of the interior. Mine with over 30K on it is almost like new. The intake runners look nice though but considering it needs a paint job and who knows what else, I wouldnt pay more that 50K USD for it so Im not up to my eyeballs after its made nice again.
Here is the link to my new purchase, although I had bought it before it was advertised Steve http://www.rardleymotors.com/cars/024201/024201.htm
Congrats! Steve! I was wondering about the sale of your old one! There's a nice 1977 carbed version here at the dealer, not exactly cheap but darn well worth the money, IMO! That one's beautiful......
It had a deal working last month when I was over there but the Autoweek ad still lists it...old ad copy maybe. I asked them via PM to clarify the current status. It looked really nice, and full books and new valves! I missed Joe at the Derailers, cause we were with Billy Joe Shaver....
