    My 456 key fob/alarm is not working. The alarm LED in the dash is flashing so its not a dead battery but when I press the key fob it does not engage the door locks or beep unarming the car so I can start it...The little red light does light when I press key fob but nothing happens. I think the 550 has the same system..any option here other than flat bed to the dealer? Thanks

    Have you checked your fuses for your body control module?

    Have a look through your manual that came with the car if you still have or got it, it should show you the location of your fuse boxes, globe replacement ect....... Otherwise its like what you said :D

    Make sure you let us know what it was when they fixed it, maybe your car just has a flat battery too ?

    Worst fears confirmed, looks like I need a whole new alarm unit and I dont have the red master fob either. That should be a nice bill :(
