Mechanics of a banned user

Does Rob ever ban anyone anymore? The moderators ban, Im sorry....... exclude more people than Rob probably ever has. Rob cant patrol Fchat 24-7 mate. Maybe he can, but I doubt it. He cant keep an eye on the Euro threads and the US threads at the same time? Hence the appointed moderators to keep peace in different parts of the world and different time zones. "Power" has nothing to do with, trust me.

 

But don't you find it funny that Dan said he was 22 years old. Blackgallardo also said he was 22 years old. Dan said he was involved in real estate. BlackGallardo also said he was involved in real estate. Dan would always debate the PPI isssue. Blackgallardo debated the PPI.

Maybe Dan's mom sent him to summer camp in California?

Not at all. When it became known about Dan, I jumped right on the bandwagon. I found on the internet what he does for a living (lawn-care by the way), and found pictures of him with tickle-me-elmo's. Which only proved more his immaturity..

I remember posting in one of the first threads involving Blackgallardo that it was odd they were both 22. I never got enough time to investigate BG but it looks like the truth came out anyways...

Nothing wrong with Nibbles being here. Great guy in person. I think that his ban should be lifted.

I have nothing against Nibbs, Actually i kind of enjoyed crossing swords with him, but when he came back as **** that was a big no no, then the things he was saying.... I know he is a pot stirrer (not like we don't know what that is...) but the biggotted things he was saying as **** were WAY over the line

I have a question: why would somebody who doesn't have the money waste people's time (including his own) going around acting like he's ready to buy a super-expensive car? I remember another thread titled "how long do you have to wait to get a 430?" or some such thing, and there was a lengthy argument between a poster nicknamed "Spiderman" and another one, where Spiderman (after some research on this forum and some Lambo forum) was able to "unmask" the other poster as a liar. So why would somebody pretend to be rich or to own expensive toys on an internet forum? Are they hoping to be able to befriend wealthy people and somehow gain something from that? I'm just curious.

by spending 20 mins looking into it and speaking to Argento, we established that Argento wasn't Steve275 and was who he claimed to be and wasnt Steve/Seb, as for the other cars claimed, I didnt see what he claimed to own so cannot comment, he did however provide the proof I asked for to confirm that he owned the 575M in his profile (pic of chassis plate & recent publication + watch with the days date on it)

I can't comment on what was said on Telaio as I dont have access to that forum (and neither would I want it!)

The only IP address match was with Argento's corporate internet gateway......the company has hundreds of employees.

All in all not a big threat to the continued success of Ferrarichat.com

I was wrong - it took about 2 minutes. Anyway, a perfect illustration of a childish action taken by a childish person.

Why don't you post the full context of the discussion that took place in the "private" "not for the faint of heart" forum in which my comments took place? The discussion culminated in Rob Lay sending me a refund of my subscription fee after I was repeatedly attacked and threatened by another user (Arthur Chambers).

Oh, that would be fair and we can't allow that.

 

Here's what I don't get and I don't mean to point the finger at any particular 'banned' user: this place is a community, and like all communities, it must be open to, and tolerant of, different views. Yes, it is appropriate sometimes to say 'The Emperor has no Clothes' or to take a user to task for a position that may seem absurd. But, all of this still has to be done within reason- it is no different than society in general. Someone can make a fairly incisive point about the government, a corporation, or another person and still be regarded as someone within the 'zone of reason.' But the same point made with threats, violence, profanity, and personal attacks will eventually put that user in the position of being like a crazy, homeless, smelly person- no one wants to get near him or her.
Unless someone was inappropriately banned, it was because they crossed the line of what is reasonably acceptable, and tolerable, for the community at large.
So, my question is, if that person is not deranged, why, after being banned, would they keep coming back under different user names?
I mean, other than to needle users, or provoke, why bother? It seems to mean that a need to be here, after someone has reached a point where this place makes no sense, is surely a sign of something being a little 'off'. Am i wrong?

 

The same person that socially instigates enough to get banned is going to relish in coming back and causing further trouble. The two go hand in hand. The easiest way to do that is come back under an alias and continue to get your digs in.
