Girls ask what my car's name is and I always tell them that they can name her.
my Porsche 356 coupe is called Kate, named (by my wife) after a very attractive girl i used to work with. the 356 cabriolet is called Hannah because it's topless - but that's a whole other story.
One of the partners of RUF Auto Centre owns this 997 Kompressor appropriately nicknamed the "Red Baron".... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wanted to name her Isabella (love the name, and it was the name of my old Alfa spider). But some of my friends have told me my car looks too "mean" and should be a boy. (I do like the idea that someone posted here to tell women the F car can be named after them. Gonna have to try that on my next date this weekend... ) Check out my public profile for a pic... Pretty, mean, or pretty mean? Thoughts...???
I got my drivers licence while driving one of those back in 1997. I borrowed the driving instructors car. They are so easy to park them little things. I just call them the little bubble cars.
The 3 Volvos that I have had were Inga, Olga, and Helga. Helga is gone now but Inga and Olga are still here. I was just thinking about this the other night I have named the cars but not the Ducati. I was thinking Lucy.
Dangit! I just went back and read page 2. Isabella is already taken. Hmmm....Guess I'll just go seek out some hottie and have her name it
As a senior in high school, the '69 hopped up Camaro we drove around in was called "Cherry Picker"...... that count?
My cars don't have names (I believe in 40+ years of driving, I have never named a car) - but that doesn't mean that they don't get called things. For example, here are the names used for my three cars: '79 Ferrari 308GTB: The Ferrari, The 308, The Silver Car, The Sports Car, The GTB, The Exotic. '98 M-B SL500: My car, the Mercedes, The Silver Car (yes, I know its a duplicate), The SL, The Two Seater. '03 L-R Discovery II: Nancy's car, Nancy's Truck, The Truck, The Rover, Your Car, Your Truck, The Land Rover (but somehow despite popular pressure, it never gets called The Disco) FWIW, before we married, Nancy named every one of her cars. Best, rick
