I found my perfect, very rare color combo Ferrari 360 except for an F1 trans. Does anyone have any idea how much money is involved in switching over to a manual transmission? I would assume you need to find the parts out of a totaled car for starters.

Expensive proposition. Half the cars electronics need to be changed. Not worth it unless you wanted a manual CS.

Hi Jeff, What car is it?

For me, the desire for a 6 speed had a lot to do with the uncertainty of the cost to maintain an F-1. (Although I ended up with a CS w/ an F-1 and REALLY like it!!) If you're thinking the same, which I somewhat remember from our conversations, it would be cheaper to keep the F-1 and service it if ever necessary than to change to a 6 speed. Besides, you may find that you like the F-1. I know that I have been very happy with the F-1.

As Rifledriver mentioned. A very expensive proposition. You probably wouldnt find anyone that would want to do the job either. Big job. Big dollars in parts. Maybe you should wait till the rare colour combo 360 manual comes along.......or just buy this one with the F1. :) What rare colour combo is it BTW? :)

It would be a lot cheaper finding a 6 speed with the interior you want and respray the car. Much cheaper!!

Azzora blue/tan interior and loaded. Have come across 3 this color in past year. Odds say finding one loaded with a manual are not good! Wish I knew production number. Seems like NNO is the only one with access to numbers but he's not talking.

Seems we will have to beat it out of him. Lol!
Did they even make any in that combo, with the 6 speed? Is that what you want NNO to tell you? :) Patience is a virtue.........or so they reckon. :)

Did you try calling FNA ?

As far as changing to a manual, you must like pain! :) Look up the price of just the pedal assembly sometime :)

There have been so many 360's wadded up I don't think the hard parts would cost much, after all how many people are beating a path to the wrecking yards door for 360 pedal sets or manual shifter sets? The electronics however would be a killer.

Come to think of it that would be the way to do it. Buy a totaled 6 speed car as a donor. Sell it back with the F1 stuff or sell it seperatly. That might make some sense.

We would be happy to make the conversion for you. But please bent over, there will be no lube!!
The price or the pedal box,the trans and all the shift linkages, different trans axle mount points plus removing all the F1 stuff will be more than the car is worth, now or at the end of the operation.
Find the car you want with the trans you want.
but otherwise feel free to send me a check and wait a few months!!

OK. You guys have me convinced. Just hearing that so many electronics were involved clinched it. Even with a donor car it would be a real pain. I just wish manual transmissions weren't so few and far between.

Having a 6 speed is worth the wait :) Only took me 12 or 18 months of looking to find my car! :)
