That video had a little ZZ monster in it. Anyone remember a video by Eben Ozen? The song was "AEIOU Sometimes Y" I bet No one remembers that video but me. It's THAT obscure. Tommy Cosgrove Class of 1986
I started collecting 80's New Wave & Punk Vinyl when I was 15. I had more than I ever thought I would ever come into over the years. I now only have my 45 collection of about 500 or so. Sold all my 12" except for a couple Autographed by The Cure. Actually I traded most of them and sold some.
I love 80's music and pretty much anything 80's. That was a great era i still remember it like it was yesturday until the 90's rolled in, hits my username is named after my favorite band which was an 80's band. I got almost any Metallica, Anthrax, CD out there.
ZZ Top had that little monster come out of TV Dinners. That was great. How about Call of the West (I think). IM ON A MEXICAN---R-A-Adio! With the head popping out of the pot full of beans. Anyone remember their first MTV Video? Mine was Asia - "Heat of the Moment" in 1981. Quarterflash video with the flame thrower at the end. J Geils Freeze Frame was a good one. I can remember Friday night "WORLD PREMIERE VIDEOS" like The Who, Tom Petty, etc... to be young again. Everything seemed simpler then. And Headbangers Ball was GREAT. It so sucks now.
I remember they played Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky" and ZZ Top's "Give Me All Your Lovin" videos about the same time each night back in 83. I don't know why that sticks out in my mind. Always has. I also remember the night "Thriller" first aired. I was out that night with my friend Doug Loveless, his date and my girlfriend Amy Matson. We were all in the 10th grade and Doug was the only one old enough to drive. We cut our night out short to make sure we were back at Amy's to see it in time. Remember, this was Oct 1983 and believe it or not everyone I knew had a VCR then so taping it and watching it later just wasn't an option. We were all crowded around he TV like it was a big deal. I guess it was to us. It's been a long time since I thought about that stuff. That was a really fun part of my life.
'85 graduate here. I went across the boards with the music of the '80's. I was really into Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys, T.S.O.L in the early '80s then closed the decade with the Hair Bands & Heavy Metal. I have the most incredible collection of Punk & Heavy Metal (with other music also) on my iPod. My favorite Bands are still the Social D's Bad Religions Iron Madien, Judas Priest. oh man, I almost forgot (how could I forget). I was an Adam & The Ants Fanatic!!!! Posters and all! Never dressed the part just a Closet Fan.

Yeah, I was in Cayucos for an extended weekend... late one night, I got back from a 'tang prowl and was watching the moonlit ocean from the bar in my relative's place... My Great-Uncle wandered in, handed me a beer and a cigar, flipped the TV on, picked the channel & said "'Have you seen this?' & 'Goodnight'" Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen Then the MoonMan went bouncing around... planting the MTV flag...
born in 78 here, loved the eightes....moved around alot, so riding on the road, I had songs in my head that when I hear them again I can associate them with a certain place and time.......the vids from the 80's are timeless, not compared to the crap we have now.... Video killed the radio star..... Real world and pimp my ride killed the video

and I have a problem, late at night when the kids and wife are in bed, I'll listen to old 80's music. Sometimes it'll be embarassing but no one will see. Echo and the Bunnymen brings back memories - saw them life, man - was he wasted! Smiths So many great memories. But I'm reluctanct to ask, but will anyways - no shame on Fchat eh? Who did the song with the lyrics "I wanna be a cowboy, and you can be my cowgirl..."? Thanks!
