Yea, as I said I could go more in depth and give you a few different ideas thought on about just why Barracca had the horse on the plane. But that one is the one I usualy go by. I know so much usless crap about the Ferrari heritage its wierd, LOL. I just love em' (even the horrid cars(ok most,HEHE))

    Thanks very much.

I took it one step further with a familiar change to the wheels also. Hopefully Jim doesn't mind these variations on his dream. :)

I saw the wheels like that in C&D, like them much better filled in.

Now add the vent slots back and make the roof red, lets see that, hehe

Hey jim, do you happen to have anymore of the concept drawings from the C&D article? Or ones that didn't make it in C&D? It'd be great to see some!

    Mr. Glickenhaus/Napolis/jota;

I've been quietly observing this project since early 2006. It seems that the final result has surpassed all of your expectations. I was taken back by your constant rebukes of the numerous 'styling exercises' posted by users, reiterating time after time that they had little visual similarity to the final result. I thought that for sure one of them must have been very close and that your posts were simply diversionary tactics, but to my surprise you were correct: the design is completely fresh yet the inspiration is clear. It is indeed unlike the sketches that have been posted during the preceeding months. Taking it beyond a rebody to completely re-engineering an already superbly engineered car speaks for the trust and commitment between yourself and Pininfarina.

Amazing automobile, beautiful family, successful business.... surely you were a Saint in a past life. May you continue to enjoy all the fruits of your labor in good health.

Please be sure to let it be known when you will be displaying it, especially if in the Tri-State or Delaware Valley areas.

    - Chris

It's a complicated process a one that is some times difficult for some to understand especially as not everyone has seen styling models before and realize that they are simply tools to three dimensionally be able to see what you like and what you don't. The amazing thing to me is how using super computers you can go from a brief: Something that looks like a P4 mated to an Enzo chassis, to a finished car in just over a year and that's with the ability to make many, many changes along the way.

All of us that enjoy our lives are very lucky as the front page of any newspaper reminds us every day.

There are now 2,930,000 mentions of P 4/5 on the net.

I'm really happy about how the people on this site:

As you need about a million posts to rise to the next level I'm not sure I'm going to rise above that one.

On a serious note I've sent out all the invitations I have. This party is a bit oversold. Show up early as the Fire Marshall will shut it down at some point.

P 4/5 will also be outside on the Putting Green on Saturday and Sunday.

Sorry jim for the off topic stuff

The pics above are not of Baracca's plane or his squadrons. Those are most deffinetly the WWII Macchi M.C. 202 planes in remeberance to Baracca who died June 1918, here is a pic of him and his bi-plane with the horse design he had below.

If there is a squadron related to him, then that WWII squadron was made in remebrance of him since he was a WWI ACE. I see where it looks like it says "4th Baracca" Or somthing like that, so I am guessing that they were a tributary squadron, pretty cool.

Anymore on this then lets start a seperate Ferrari History thread :)

    Bringing this back to topic.

Jim i Downloaded the press pack but did not find the actual pic i was looking for...

More specifically the frontal view of p4/5's sketch? I know for a fact it was in the C&D article. Hopefully you can give this fan a nice little high res pic of it??? :D :)
