As the title states... I've got an oil change coming up, and I don't know if I want to go with the $40 UFI filter again. I've heard the Baldwin name mentioned here and there, but have never actually seen one for sale - in stores, online, or otherwise.

    Thanks!

Look up the Baldwin website and they will give you a listing of distributors. Most truck parts supplies carry them. For 308's its B253

glad to read this, i used to purchase mine from my Local Fleet Pride store, they even ordered the Baldwin air and fuel filters too! i think the oil filters were $9.00 each as long as i ordered a case of 6. i still have plenty of them, just waiting for the right carb 308 to come available to purchase!

Bought a few from Geoff at:

    http://www.partsourcenet.com/

Geoff is a nice guy, very willing to depart advice in conversation.

I've used Baldwin and Fram. I like the Fram, because I have a chromed oil filter cover with a Ferrari sticker on it that fits the Fram and looks cool in the engine bay. The Baldwin is slightly shorter and fatter than the Fram.

Outside of that, I never had any problems with either.

The Frams I buy from RockAuto.com

Most Chevron Oil Distribution centers have Baldwin.

Interesting info... My car came with a K&N in it, but I must say that I've never been quite happy with the overall fitment of the K&N. It seems about a millimeter too "tall", as getting the lid seated properly is always somewhat of a trial-and-error type deal that depends solely on the filter's orientation. Maybe I should give a Baldwin a go...

Just sourced 2 from a fellow FChatter for a very good price. Thanks to all who responded! I'm still going to look into the Baldwin air filter...

Last one I bought was $8 from a local diesel truck supply house. Bought it under the dealerships account so no tax! ;)
