What does everyone think? Personally I think it's ******** ugly!!
Both aren't "pretty", but they aren't "pretty ugly" either. They're functional designs, moreso with the FXX of course. When you see what Pininfarina managed to come up with for the P4/5 it really leaves me wondering why the Enzo could not have been more beautiful than it is. >8^) ER
Thats bcus Ken O designed the Schmenzo. He is the Bangle of Ferrari a much better designer did the P4/5, I forget his name
It IS over the top, bad azz !!! Does it really matter if it's pretty or not .... like a man, you don't have to be pretty to be sharp ... a bad MoFo is a bad MoFo G
fxx, enzo, and f430 are in themselves decent looking and fairly sexy, but they are UGLY as **** compared to the cars they replaced (I use that word loosely) - f50gt, f50, and 360. 360, now there's a pretty car! And the F50 is just a beast. I know they drive better but I'd get something else before spending my money on one of them.
Those two separate spoilers in the rear ruin the flow. They don't look like they provide much downforce so why even bother with them? Kinda looks like a car that you would find in a science fiction movie.
The road going super Ferrari's have decreased in visual appeal for me over the years: 288GTO = Fantastic, F40 less but still choice, F50 - I don't like the nose, Enzo - not the prettiest car out there. The Enzo is badass, it's just not pretty (the 430 is a prettier car). The FXX is better to me, it takes the "pretty" label out back, shoots a few holes in it and throws it in the lake. Only thing left is the badass, which it has in spades.
Some pretty strong opinions from some who haven't even been alive long enough to aquire a respectable taste for exotic cars G
It has to be said that current Ferraris are not very pretty. What's with the 430's rear? What's with the 612's front? And the Enzo/FXX looks like a transformer. The 599 is a big improvement though. Didn't like it much at first, but I'm digging it now--especially in grigio.
Agreed. And whoever said that it's "agressively pretty" makes a good point as well. If design was an objective, then beauty was out of the question. It is striking, just like it's performance, which was the first standard set with that project. Form followed function every time, and they executed it perfectly, which, to some people (like myself), makes it beautiful.
fugly...too much reliance on wind tunnel requirements, who wants to drive a F1 car on road anyways? Give me a F50 anyday. Pure manual shifting technology.
