I, too, thought it was just OK. Anchorman was definatly better.
Certainly it appealed to the under 25 crowd. I don't mean that in a derogatory way, humor tends to change with age. The only thing that brought laughs to the full auditorium I was in was the out takes at the end. I went to see a comedy based loosely around racing. The racing sucked, and there was no comedy. Ricky Booby's assistant with the glasses was cute.
Yea, my local theaters are $9.50 and $10.50. If you go matinee, you save a buck or two, nothing spectacular.
The only reason I didn't walk out of the theater was because I had to wait for my friend who was in another movie. Horrible show.
I thought the movie sucked terribly. Sure there were a few funny moments here and there but I'm glad I didn't pay to watch it. The Anchorman blows it away by a whopping longshot.
