I've been trying to sell my '94 #5 with no real interest. It's in very good condition, 30k done, and low miles. I'm assuming it's priced too high in the low $60k's? What would you say the buy prices of these are at right now?

IMO a nice '94 SS with service done high 50's or low 60's. Some may argue not to pay that much, but that seems to be the market.

348 market is soft. Probably because of the loads of 355s out there. To someone just looking to own a Ferrari and not knowing about the different models, they see a 355 for an extra $10-$15g's and go for the performance.

With the clean 328s pulling some big bucks, it should even out eventually. I cant see the 348 market dropping any more. Not to mention with everything going on in the US economy. Its a hard time with disposable income right now.

I own a 1992 Ferrari 348 TB Series Speciale (No. 9 of 100) with 10,000 miles and a recent minor completed and would not sell her for less than $65,000. My car is close to showroom quality. Everthing works as though it came off the showroom floor, nothing is missing, no tears, scratches, etc. It has never been in the rain and is always kept in the warehouse or my garage at home. I enjoy driving her on the weekends and I would take it over a TS any day of the week just for the looks alone. I would not want power steering such as the 355 which I originally desired. This car is a collectors car, don't hurt our market by letting it go cheap. Don't you remember the day you first got it and drove it to your buddies place and what did they say..............

Only true Ferrari lovers would appreciate this car for what it truly is!!!!!!!

How are you trying to sell it. I have not seen it for sale anywhere as of the past 4-6 months. Maybe your going about it in the wrong direction.

I have included some pictures of my car. Write or call me anytime to discuss, lets not hurt the value of a car that is a true collectors car.

    Very well said!
I hope the same goes for the regular Non SS TB'S.
I love mine and think I stole it for what I paid. It is near flawless inside and out. Eugenio is gonna do the major in a few months.

He does your car too right?

I had my recent minor completed by Eugenio's. He' the best around.

Getting back to the value of our car, don't let individuals down grade our cars value, especially if they don't own one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words all. I have mixed feelings about it. In a perfect world, I'd keep it, and start a collection of Ferrari's. But, I don't make that kind of money. The rational side of me is saying to sell it. I'm very busy with work, have two young children and just don't get to drive it much. Plus, we're doing a complete remodel of our house, and it just doesn't make sense to me at this point to keep the money tied up in the car. At the same time, I don't want to just give it away.

It's been up on ebay a few times now. The dealer I bought it from is selling it for me (www.stanfordeuropean.com). There are pics. on his website and on ebay (item # 270016539418). It's not in "showroom" condition. But, it's in VERY NICE condition. I've just been surprised that there haven't been that many people interested. Like some mentioned, it's a steal for what you get. And, it's #5 of the last 15 they made. I know it had appeal to me when I bought it....

    Here's some pics...

No front lip spoiler? No carbon racing seats? Were these no longer a part of the SS package for '94? It looks just like a GTB with the rear light cover removed.

94 ss models did not come with the cf seats , and no spoiler lip either. i have # 6 ...
ill have to say the 94's are the best of the breed. well sorted at the end of the production of the 348's. today worth mid -high 50's with service needed, fresh service , 60+. i predict in 5- 10 yrs they will appreciate as good examples become harder to find. they are just too fun to drive!

It is a GTB with rear light covers removed. The seats were optional in '93. I don't think they were available in '94.

'94 was the last of non spider 348. There were only 15 SS and 45 CH cars imported to the US.

My first Ferrari was SS #99/100, red on black and it was a '92. How could lower numbers be 93s and 94s? Weren't the only 348s produced in '94 all Spiders?

As an aside, it had the CF seats (which I absolutely hated and had replaced with regular 348 seats) and the spoiler and the exposed rear light arrangement.

100 ss's where produced in 92-93 , an addtional 15 ts and #?challenge cars were made in 94- all numbered seperatly from original ss series. no cf seats or chin spoiler.. then the 94 - 95 348 spiders took over..

Last month a red 94 Series Special was sold in Riverside, Cali., for $53,500. This was a dealer auction and not sure of any of the specifics. The car is probably for sale or will be for sale somewhere in the country for somewhere in the $60k area, rightfully so for dealer profit. Was real curious on how a rare car was available at a dealer auction, but this does sometimes happen. Good luck on finding a buyer.

45 (32 tb and 13 ts) Challenge cars were made in '94. Check out redcar.com . It has a 348 factory challenge registry. The serial #'s do not match with the #'d plates. Mine is #4 of 32, but based on ssn it's 18 of 45. The explanation is these were added later at the dealers request. Even though all 348 tb's and ts's (excluding the 15 SS) imported into US in '94 were supposedly challenge cars, not all had #'d plates.

No, there were 60 non spider cars that were imported to US. 15 SS, and 32 tb, 13 ts challenge cars in '94. There was a Euro version GTB/GTS. About 200 were made in '93 and '94. There was also a GT compeizione model for Euro market in '94 with about 50 made.

This thread is full of facts on how rare the 348 SS really is.
If that doesn't help a sale what will?
