The list exceeds my expectations. Truly incredible really, that this is just a sampling of the cars they had. It boggles the mind wondering why so many of the same cars and it's interesting seeing many "normal" cars on the list.

Thanks so much for sharing this!

Do remember that the 456's and A LOT of Astons and Bentleys are based on the chassis of production models but have custom coachwork. Thats why there are so many. They aren't all the same, its just they way they were put in.

Eric, can you tell me what a "DPD" plate is? Its on a lot of cars and it seems its an actual kind of plate. At first i thought it was some kind of model, prehaps meaning "drophead" or something but then i was looking through my pics and saw this...

    Thanks

Thats one FUGLY LM 002, but then again they werent pretty to start with. The list on the other hand is mind numbing. In the Bentley, Aston, Benz (regular and AMG) alone in value probably exceed some small countries total GDP.

I am pretty sure the DPD plate was the Sultans plate, if i remember all the cars i saw him drive had that plate i think it was to let everyone know it was him , i thought the two motorcycle outriders and the two holden chase cars gave it away.
You are also right about the specials they all had the original chassis numbers from the donor cars.
Also at RBPC5 Prince Jefri bought his son Prince Hakim for his 24th birthday i think, he had a museum built for him housing every formula one world championship winning car since 1975, this was the very car that when the driver became the world champion it was that car he was driving at the time.
    That was some museum.

Yep. And didn't it have touch sensitive floor so that as you walked along only the car you were at lit up and tv's went on and stuff like that? Those cars got out, right?

Not sure. I was under the impression all Brunei cars had to be RHD but looking at these pics again, i guess i'm wrong

They were probably at Pininfarina by the time this list was generated. Remember, the Cizeta's were delivered in 1991.

I think the Cizetas were not running and they were stored in a garage where all the cars that needed repairs were kept, cars like a burned XJ220 and things like that.

What could one man possibly need with all of those vehicles? He could send one my way if he ever gets bored.

    Hehe!

Absolutely amazing! Many thanks for sharing that list!

I love the Fiat Cinquecento! :) Was it special in any way?

And can you give us a hint on the special Bentley and Rolls-Royce models designed for the Sultan? What is a Bentley Val d'Isere or a Rolls-Royce Royal?

Still trying to understand how a car with an unlimited warranty sat in a shop in a 'non-running' state. Especially given that these cars were actually quite reliable based on my own personal behind the wheel experience. Never failed to start, shift, drive, etc.

It seems like the Sultan went out shopping again: A Google search turned out that he has bought 12 of the new RR Phantoms, reportedly half of them armoured. Any other news on recent purchases?

    Ciao,

    Lars T.

Ironically they only had two Cizeta's. They purchased three, but only took delivery of two (the third is still in Singapore with delivery miles).
