Oh come on ... it was a good joke!!! No? I really don't care how or when I die, I just hope I'll be late, or somewhere else.
Lots of ways: - 3 guys fell off a Radio tower near me - 1300 feet down I think. - a friend died the day after buring in his racecar for almost 4 minutes. - being on a top floor of the WTC - having an aircraft blow up in mid-flight - having a rear stabilizer break on an MD-80 like the two that did over the Pacific about 8-10 years ago - aircraft flew around aimlessly until crashing. - crashing the way Payne Stewart did on the private jet. - being hit by a semi and bursting into flames.
Wow. That is probably the biggest a***ole thing I've ever seen in my life. My mind simply cannot wrap itself around the fact that it happened. I don't condone violence, but if I found out my kid did something like that (the phone call)...he better run.
IIRC, they said everyone died quickly when Payne's plane decompressed. Pilots didn't have time to put on O2 masks. Then it was auto-pilot until it ran out of gas. My sister was a witness to a car-semi fire accident. She said the people in the car were screaming, but no one could get close enough to rescue them. Burning to death, or major burns on the body would be my vote. Visited a co-worker in a burn ward, not fun. Smelled aweful, hearing the moans even though they were under heavy drugs. Came close to me being there (work accident, chemical burns). Phew, lucky me.
As long this is a car site: http://www.pozary.cz/clanek.asp?id_clanku=5658 Lambo - on fire - up side down. Now how do these doors open? Jurgen
Well, according to the story: Jednotka na místo vyjela s vozidly RZA Toyota Lancruiser a CAS 24 Scania. It's so simple!
Years ago, my sister's ex was a professor at UCLA. One Monday morning, two of his students (boyfriend and girlfriend) didn't show up for class. As they often did, they had gone kayaking in the ocean over the weekend and no one had seen them since. A few days later, remnants of their kayak were found washed up on a beach. The wreckage bore bite marks consistent with a great white shark, which probably mistook the kayak for a sea lion. I don't think any human remains were ever found.
^beat me to it. Getting eaten alive would by a shark when swimming, tubing, or surfing (surface activities). They tend to come in and take a piece of you and then leave you to either float around and bleed to death, or if there are other predators in the area (competition) they come back and take a few more pieces of you before any other sharks come in. The point is, they're generally eating you appendages first so you are concious through most of this, panicking like mad because you can 1) not see them coming and 2) totally unable to fend off attacks or flee as we are not well suited for maneuvering in the water.
i was reading a book about the Kursk recently and the way the initial survivors died is one of the worst i can imagine, first they were trapped in a tiny compartment in absolute darkness and freezing cold while slowly running out of air and being poisoned at the same time and all of a sudden a flash fire burnt them to death. The deaths of Nick Berg and Ken Biggley were just as horriffic, and i cant imagine what the passengers in the second plane to hit the World trade centre were going through, but the most horriffic of all will without a doubt be my own.
I'd say death by steamroller would have to suck. A friend and colleague of mine handeled the funeral of a man that was drug through a chipper about 10 years ago. He said the removal team brought the remains to the funeral home in several bags.
WRONG!!! Richard Crafts was convicted of murder and sentenced to 99 years in prison. Investigators found bits of his wife's hair, bone, and teeth in the woodchipper. Also, Crafts was seen using the woodchipper during a snowstorm, by a snowplow driver. There was a lot of circumstantial evidence as well. http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious_murders/family/woodchipper_murder/13.html
LEAST fun? Having a heart attack after seeing a naked man and that being the last image etched into your brain before you die.
1. Electric chair, gas chamber, or even lethal injection. http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/article.php?scid=8&did=478 I don't want to start a pro or con debate, but after reading that, we can safely say that excecutions don't always go as smoothly as planned. 2. Subway suicide. (In Montreal) only 27% of those that try, end up killing themselves, the rest are horrifcly mangled for life. And once more, death is seldom instant for those that succeed. 3. Getting stabbed. Prick you finger with a needle, and see how that hurts. Now. Imagine a knife carving up your insides. 4. Listening to (or watching) anything by Barbara Striesand Pretty self-explanatory I suppose.
A big limb came down off one of our pecans a few days ago, and the tree trimming service was over this morning...they had a woodchipper parked in the alley and were feeding stuff into it. I've seen them a million times and until I read this thread I wouldn't have noticed it. No, come to think, seeing "Fargo" and reading about Saddam's boys also got my attention.
You named a few things that were pretty quick. I could take massive amounts of pain if it only last a very short time. Falling to your death would suck but if you moving at 120 mph, you won't feel it for too long. And Payne Stewart's plane sounds like an easier way to go, didn't they just "fall asleep". I can't remember.
- Getting your legs biten off by a shark and then drowning because you can't remain above the water surface for very long without the strength of your legs. - Steamroller slowly rolling over you. - Concentration camp deaths during the Holocaust. - Plane crash where the plane is spinning out of control and you know you're screwed but you gotta just ride it out and wait a minute or two in sheer terror before you die. - Being stuck in a dark pit with tons of poisonous spiders, snakes, and scorpions all ready to pwn you. Sorta like Indiana Jones style but instead you slowly die as they crawl all over you and infect you with their venom.
