I have attached the invitation for the October 8, 2006 barbecue and get together for all NorCal folks.

I will be giving these out at Concorso.

Last year was a great deal of fun and a great time for all.

Let's do it again, and bring all those beautiful cars.

    See you at Concorso.

I went to last year's event and had a good time. Greg and his wife are great hosts and the food was awesome too.

    Definitely a must attend event.

Is this a NorCal thing or an FCA thing??

I am an FCA member who is currently in Madison, WI now and is moving out to San Jose/Livermore area in September for work. I am selling my 328 on the 23rd of this month but will be in the market for a Testarossa when I get out here (I am at the Fremont Marriott this week) so I would love to meet you guys so I can get into the "club" out here, as I plan of attending a lot of events with the TR when I get it.

With that being said, if I come to the October event, I will probably not have my car yet and will be in my Grand Cherokee or Altima. I know how it is, so I will definitely park it down the block!!!

    ;-)

Looking forward to meeting you all in a few weeks.......

With that being said, I am REALLY excited about your Santana Row meetings on the weekends. I have been telling my wife about Santana and she is pumped to shop (I just have to figure out how to keep her from spotting Prada!!) while I hang out in the lot with the car. I was down there last night at Blowfish and saw a black 575 when a was walking in and then a 360 Spyder and a Murcielago Roadster (both silver) parked out front as I was leaving. Don't get that kind of curbside eye candy in Wisconsin.......

    Bill,

You don't need the car to come. You are welcomed always. We'd love to have you with us.

Alex, Thank you for the nice comments. We love to entertain, and I am sure this year's will be double of last years.

Yes, we'll twist Rifledriver's arm to make sure he's there to answer many questions. I have to give him the best parking spot to make sure he shows up!!!

Everyone is welcomed. More great prizes again this year and it's all for a great cause.

First prize last year was two (2) Concorso Gold Class tickets won by Jr. Aguilar who is showing off his beautiful Testarossa at Concorso.

So, everyone come, because there are great prizes, it's for a great cause, and you get to meet tons of folks.

Wendy Tokuda will be here, and everyone gets to meet her and to learn how great a person she is.

    See you then.

    Greg,

I must say, as an attendee of this event last year and it was really a great time. There were wonderful cars, food, art, and best of all great people to meet. I wouldn't miss this, and have been looking forward to it since last year!

There was plenty of good/safe parking. This was an excellent opportunty to network with other owners and enthusiasts.

    Greg,

I will see you tomorrow around 10ish? Will that still work? I was going to try to catch you before you leaving for the show.

Wish I was joining you and the gang...should be fun!

Watch out for California's finest as well as the local PD. They will be out in force.

    David,

    I'll be here waiting!

I drive a powerful car but I don't speed. I can afford the car but not the tickets!

With 5 vehicles and over $7K per year in premiums, I can't afford to have those rise!

    See you tomorrow.

I wil try to get there a little early. I try not to speed either, not always sucessful at that.

I think I could buy another F-car for the difference of our insurance premiums!

That is just the economy's way of telling you that you have too many cars. Maybe you need to diversify? There is always boats (short for Bring Out Another Thousand), or a motorcycle like a H.D. (short for Hundreds of Dollars!)

Thanks!! Hopefully I would have it by then, but realistically, I am not sure where I will even be living at that time. My company offered up this promotion and said they "needed me out here in 4 weeks". They are taking care of every bit of the move and the sale, but it is still insanely stressful. With that being said I decided to sell my car so I could look for the TR and not have to bring it out here and worry about where I was going to keep it. I have wanted a TR for as long as I can remember yet I loved my 328 a lot and would have never bought a TR with the 328 sitting in the garage. So this will give me the incentive I need.

With that being said, I would love to come by and meet everyone. Hopefully I can start to get some leads on some nice cars......or beaters for the right price.......I will be looking at anything and everything at this point to see what is out there.

    Thanks!!

Have you figured out what city you want to live in? I'm not in the Real Estate biz, but you should check out the San Ramon - Pleasanton area. Top rated schools, etc..

Forget the "top rated schools"! San Ramon has one of the top rated F-car mechanics...

:) Sorry Brian (I could not resist!)

I was actually looking up in Livermore today with a realtor. Went through about 10 homes and an Open House. Looked at everything from the $599,900 range to the $730,000 range. I can tell you this, there are some DUMPS out there in the 599k range that I wouldn't live in if they were $250k. Wow.

I will probably be looking at the 750k or so homes now with around 2000 sq ft. based on what I saw today.

I have heard good things about Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin. That is where I will most likely be living. A lot of the people in our corporate HQs live in Livermore, including our Pres. and VP of Sales.

No kids either, so schools aren't an issue.

Who is this Ferrari mechanic in San Ramon?? Hopefully I will meet him someday, but I will only have to extend my hand instead of my checkbook...... ;-)

Sorry about the temporary hijack of the thread...... ;-)

Greg - I didn't see you at the SVAG tent at Concorso (was there at 11am and met up with some FChatters).

At present, I am planning on driving up to the barbecue. Hopefully I'll see you before then.

I want to answer a few questions about the upcoming event.

It's purpose is to give NorCal Ferrarista's to get together and to meet.

It's also a fund raiser for the Students Risding Above Foundation. This collects funds for seriously disadvantaged people who amongst incredible odds make it through college.

I ask that every buy at least one $10.00 raffle ticket. All the funds raised go directly to the foundation.

I fully sponsor the event out of my pocket. Not one dime of the raffle $ goes to the event. It all goes 100% to the foundation.

So, please all come and have a great time. You might win a nice prize!

    Sunday, October 8, 2006, 1PM to 5PM.

    See you there.

And a few cute married ones as well!

Tried to get John lamour to come last year but he chickened out!

Come one;come all. It will be great.

Have a chance to meet the magician mechanic, Brian Crall!

That alone is worth the price of admission!

How soon are you going to be ready to shop for a TR?

The reason I ask is there might be 2 around right now but you might be (I cannot imagine why) more focused on things like House, Work, Family, Moving Etc.

    Let me know.

    Count me in then!

I heard that Brian can walk on oil, levitate wrenches, turn dust into brake pads, and assemble a 456 transmission while blind folded, hand cuffed and being tickled by a gorgeous wench.

I wonder if he could listen to my engine and tell me if it is going to blow up while we are there?

Anyone else heard crazy things that the magician can do?

All of this is true, but that's a 456 automatic GM series transmission!

BTW, he only mows his lawn on Sunday mornings with a mower that has a Ferrari nameplate on it! Can you believe that? Yes, it's red. That's why the function does not start until 1:00 PM!!!

Oh sure he can listen and tell when something will blow.

He may back away from Ray's car, though, cause it has so many mods the door locks might not work!

You took out the ash tray?

That picture was taken just as Brian opened a can of sardines that was about two years old!
