Absolutely! deSanctis was not a massproducer of cars , except for FJ/F3 where they were more known , and allthough it looks like a Dino Coupe its clearly not. Comparing your 2 pics you see its the same type of car , and as I said about massprod. , I even dont believe that deS build more than this one.On the racereport and results side I also have not fallen over this one outside Italy race yet. But I would like to have one on my parking place.
Looks really good! And again great pictures!
Regards , glad to help Bjørn Kjer

Oops I nearly got a scare as I posted my last mail thinking now I get to dry!.
But another fine pic of the car, I noticed on the TG picture that they lost one of the mirrors.
Just wanted to say that I am no expert ,only sometimes I know or can find out.
    Regards Bjørn Kjer

PS And I am still much to transporters and paddock shots!

    Car #34 has :
    two mirrors from another type,
    windows with aluminum all around,
air intake near the windscreen is round,
and front end looks more square (no spoilers ?).

But it's really hard to see ...

OK perhaps 2 or 3 cars they build?

I have a part pict of this car , they had 2 and my bet is that they are blue like the special transporter they made for 1 car !
    Thanks a lot

Maybe not old enough for this thread, but I see other less old pictures in this great thread I am following the last months.

This picture is taken by me at the Oldtimer GP at the Nurburgring about 8 years ago.
The first race I saw on that day was the Shell historics with some great Maserati's and a lot of supercool classic Ferrari's, like 250SWB's and even the 330LMB.

After a couple of laps the driver of this 250SWB lost control on the straight right in front of us and rammed right into the pit-wall.....
Very sad to see such a great car crash this hard.

I took this picture in the paddock later.
Does anybody know if this car is racing again? I never saw it at the Oldtimer GP since.

    Thanks all!

The link from "Sire Bruno de Losckley" says it all!
The crash was at the Ferrari racing days/OGP at the Ring.
I am happy that the car is still racing.

At the time of the crash I did not own a digital camera yet, but I also have a picture of the car right after the crash (it is still on the track with the ambulance on its way).

I was still young back then and 'stole' a small piece (2x1 cm's) of the blue paint to put in my photo-album. I still have it, but I wouldn't do something like that again now. :)

Does any of the readers here live in Modena , or have connections thereabout? A transport firm Traslochi Baricchi , Via Porpora Nicola , 32-41100 Modena used to drive a lot of Ferraris around to the tracks in the 60s. I have tried to contact them without succes. They had different trucks open , boxed ,and the 2 stage 642RN, propably the ex-Maserati ex Ferrari one.

I have tried to identify the 250 SWB in these two photos for years now. The photos are Nassau Speed Week. I did show them to Tom Gamino and he said that the Rhode Island plate was not his or his brother's. I do have Hathaway penciled on the back but I do not remember why.

If it is Hathaway then it is s/n 1773GT. The race pictured is from 1961. The picture of the grid shows the 1961 24 Le Mans winner #2 s/n 0794TR driven by Pedro Rodriguez and #41 off to the right is 250TR s/n 0730TR driven by Spencer Litchie. Hopefully I will have a confirmation on the SWB s/n shortly.

David, I did not want to start a new thread, but I have a surprise for you. PM me for details.

Let me know if I have the headlights correct. Are the housings body colored like I have now or are they probably the grey/metal units I see on other GTO's? By the looks of the picture I think they're body colored, but it's a black and white remember, so I have nothing to go on.

Also, that photo depicts GTO #4219 GT correct?
