Went to my local Ford dealer to look at F150/F250 pickups.

While there I saw 4 2007 Mustang Shelby GT500 cars and the selling price was between $68,500 and $72,000 each. And 2 of the four were sold and the other two should be gone by the weekend. (According to manager.)

Also saw a F550 pick up (Diesel, dually, long bed, 4 door, etc.) that was listed for $72,000!!

And most of the F250's were in the 50K range.

So I guess a Ferrari isn't really overpriced then.

On the other hand I can get a 2006 F150 listed at $34,000.00 for $21,000.00 right now-so I guess it goes both ways.

Still I haven't priced new cars (other than Ferraris, Lambos and A/M's) lately and was suprised at the prices!!

Yes they do. I have a F-350 dually 4x4 crewcab Lariat. It is amazing what it can tow and what level of comfort if gives me while doing it. If you in the market for a dually I would go with the Ford hands down. Especially if you plan on towing a 30 ft. + boat or 35 ft. + 5th wheel trailer.

i think you'll be disappointed. got to check out a gt500 convertible. it was pretty quiet IMO. but i also have an x-pipe and catback on my mustang. 4,000 lbs. is a lot of weight to move. definitely wouldn't pay that much for it, if i'm in that price range i'm not thinking twice about the z06.

IMO.... both Lotus and Ford have about the same "falling commet" depreciation, so why bother.

Buy the same car 2 years from now for 1/2 the price.

i like the fastback styling. its the best of the retro cars anyone has done, and i was always a Trans AM guy growing up. these last, latest Mustangs are fun for a beater / daily driver. i would love to have a 67-70 fastback 4 speed to play with, but the early fastbacks are hard to find.

i wont be buying one anytime soon. i have the 911, the ferrari and am still looking for a euro lambo Jalpa.... :)
