    I think so Steve.

I remember seeing that car in May or early June on the Met service road. The little yellow stickers really got my attention...that, and the wonderful V-12 sound....and the fact that you don't see 365's in Montreal all that much. ;)

Congratulations Charls it is great to see 365’s winning as shows. I am a 365 GT owner as well (13159) and I won Silver last year at Concourso Italiano and after some more fine tuning my car received Platinum this year at the Concourse de Elegance on Rodeo Dr. here in Beverly Hills. Your car looks great and again I am glad to see more nicely restored 2+2 on the scene. Hope to see you at some shows in the future.

Here are some photos of my car and if it is not to much trouble can you post more of your car, interior and engine bay? I can not get enough photos...

Scott's car was parked at Quail this year and I have to say it is the most stunning color of blue. Beautiful car! I can't wait to see how your GTE prototype turns out. Zac does awesome work!

Charles, how did you find your car? It's also very very nice.

congratulations, Charles! do that engine work this winter and you'll be in platinum-land next year. Get w/ Zac to help source that emissions equipment. Also, you must see Scott Oshry's car in person and take a lot of notes - possibly the best Queen anywhere - also an american spec car.

enjoyed meeting your wife - she's a trip! she informs me that it is her car given the proximity of the date of purchase and your anniversary date, I believe . . . .

    hi Charles,

car does look good and sorry I didn't get a chance to make to CI to have a closer look. you may want to trade your 3 eared spinners for hex ones if your going to show the car and like Bryan says just ask and I can help you sort out the U.S. emissions equipment, if not functional at least have it there for looks. over the last several years I have slowly seen more and more nice 365 2+2s coming out to the shows and now I am aware of at least 15 top notch cars here in the states and I hope the number just continues to grow.

I spoke to Cork Adams today, he'll do the wheels. I've got the hex spinners, so I'm OK there.

I do need the US smog parts! I PM'd Zac.

The judge docked me points for No Handbook Pouch, Is there a pouch for manuals and handbooks on the Queen Mother?

You followed me into the P4/5 party (I was in the almost-too-loud '76 308GTB). Your car is awesome - I like the black. Scott's car is crazy-perfect; it is something to be seen. I officially represent the Euro-spec (Italian), original (lacquer-checked & chipped) paint with small-dented bodywork faction of 365 owners (but I do have the pouch!).

a quick look at the pictures and the things I see are the air pump/divertor valve and mounting bracket, the idle retard microswitch, upper radiator hose looks like plain rubber hose instead of cloth wrapped with Cheneys, air injection tubes and check valves along with the proper hose and clamps. It looks to me as if the A/C has been converted to 134/a which is no problem but I would come up with a aluminum cap instead of the red one. the radiator has a pressure cap and it should have a zero pressure cap with the pressure cap on the overflow tank. there is supposed to be a yellow Sum-Wint arrow on the air cleaner where the arm is that controls the fresh air flap.

the interior looks realy nice and I like the correct black steering wheel (Scott won't let me put one on his car, he likes the polished one) I am not shure about the black armrest on tan panels, most tan interiors I 've seen have matching armrests but again no biggy just an observation. You already know about the headlamp covers and to be honest I prefer them too and if everything else is good it's worth the point to keep them. I don't see a cigarette lighter? books and tools are only necessary at some events but are not points you want to give away if you don't have to, we are working on the manual pouches at the moment seeing as correct orginal ones have gone through the roof and usually go to the big money guys with Daytonas, GTC's and GTS's. good luck getting Tom S. or anyone else to part with an original at the moment they are just to valueable and rare. The owners manual will tell you everything you need in the tool kit and remember if your showing a U.S. car with hex nuts than you need a hex nut knock off wrench in the jack bag.

your car is a very nice car and will only take a few hours of tweaking to get it up to the next level.

    Zac

Are you talking about making nice, correct, repro pouches? If so, I'd be interested in one.

Charles thanks for the additional photos.

Zac is without a doubt the best 365 GT 2+2 restorer/aficionado and arguably the best Ferrari restoration individual in the world (IMO). I highly recommend using him for your 365 and I know you will not be disappointed. He finished my 365 and it would not be where it is now without his help. Your car will truly be in the best hands it could be in with Zac…

Zac, I'm also looking for a good repro manual pouch - as well as a manual, tools, tool bags, etc. I'm suffering anguish over the fact that tools and books cost more than many car parts. My car will probably be finished before the snow flies. Hopefully that won't be next week here in Quebec. Let me know about the pouches and also your rubber project.

I really envy all you guys who live in FerrariLand (CA - CAlifornia, not CAnada). I think the only two Ferraris in Quebec City live on my street.
