    I need to find a trustworthy/credible mechanic to do a PPI on a 308 for me in Birmingham (Detroit area), Michigan. Any referrals would be greatly appreciated.

    There's always Cauley Ferrari in West Bloomfield. That's maybe 10 miles from there. I believe they charge $110/hr. That's what I'd do.

    Or Auto Europe right by the corner of 14 Mile Rd. and Woodward directly in Birmingham. While their showroom is on Woodward, their shop is actually down Maple a bit on South Eton St. past the Big Rock. They have one of the best service departments up there and work on many an F-car.

    They quoted me $200 to do the PPI. Not sure if this gets you the info you were looking for as it is not necessarily an hourly rate.
