If you feel there is something unethical going on, As an F1 fan you too are a stakeholder in F1. You should petition to get unethical practices out of F1 if you believe that it is the case. As a member and stakholder in F1, Ferrari has the duty and reposibility to notify the FIA of illegal equipment being used!
Not all of us are fortunate enough to be so close to teams as you are. How did that pro bono work for the team go?

You got that right... Ferrari is an ethical team and it is important to iron out unethical practices by unethical teams.
Nothing in this world is free... But what matters most is that as an F1 fan you too are a stakeholder in F1, so you too can petition the FIA if you see unethical teams like Renault use illegal equipment!
If that is your opinion then as an F1 fan and a stakeholder in F1, you should petition to get unethical practices out of F1 if you believe that it is the case. Till that time comes, as a responsible member of the F1 community, Ferrari is making sure that unethical teams like Renault are being questioned and the use of illegal equipment is being banned.
I was being sarcastic.. EDIT: You're beginning to remind me of this guy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ferrari is an ethical team that has always stayed within the restrictions and guidelines set out by the F1 governing body. Ferrari have also cooperated in any investigation sanctioned by the FIA. It is the duty and responsibility of an ethical team such as Ferrari to point out illegal equipment being used by unethical teams like Renault. There is no place for sarcasm when it comes to unethical teams like Renault using illegal equipment. This is motor sport. Anyone who thinks differently should follow staged NAS CRAP CAR or fake WWF wrestling!
In the mean time, I've got family from Europe that I'm entertaining. And I'm enjoying a rare temperate Montreal summer climate during my vacation. Therefore...no nibbling the troll bait for a couple of weeks.
Illeagal equipment has to be banned in F1. As an ethical member and stakeholder in F1, Ferrari has the duty and reposibility to notify the FIA of illegal equipment being used by unethical teams like Renault!
The FIA's International Court of Appeal has sided with the governing body over the issue of the legality of 'mass dampers' in Formula One. A statement on Wednesday afternoon confirmed that after the hearing in Paris on Tuesday, four judges overturned Hockenheim stewards' surprise ruling that - contrary to FIA delegate Charlie Whiting's earlier banning of the device - it was in fact legal. The news could seriously dent Renault's charge to retain the lead in the 2006 world championship, with the now outlawed technology believed by experts to have accounted for about half a second per lap of the R26 car's pace. and... it was McLaren who made the complaint... not Ferrari... so bring on all the conspiracy theories!
Who's vindicated? You never made an intelligent post the whole thread, just the same thing over and over. It just goes to show you one how badly F1 is run when something is approved in the begining of the year then gets banned midyear. It's function didn't change midway through. Everybody knew what it did, including Whiting, and he approved it. So now if anyone complains about something they have a hearing and get it banned? How can you have any sort of formula if you keep changing the rules midseason?
1) It is clear Charlie Whiting never changed his mind! 2) It is also clear the mass-dampers were always illegal! 3) McLaren made the first complaint... so your conspiracy theory was BS!
And your point being? if you have a point to make then make it. If you have a point of view then say it. You just keep repeating the same thing and don't listen. Otherwise keep your pie hole shut. Mass dampers weren't illegal in the start of the season. So they were not always illegal. Whiting approved them then changed his mind when Ron complained, then was going to let them use it again then banned them again. Who can even keep up with all that stuff
Mass Dampers were always illegal and Charlie Whiting never changed his mind. (we are still waiting for your quote). Renault were using illegal equipment and the FIA had to enforce the rules to make them stop unsing illegal equipment. Rules are rules, if you do not like the way F1 is being run... leave! The point is that the unethical Renault team have to stop using illegal equipment. Furthermore, all the conspiracy theorists that thought Ferrari were doing this were wrong. It was McLaren who complained against the unethical Renault team.
