Looks like 2Nastie has gone and built a widebody Gallardo with full IMSA kit. http://www.zrauto.ca/car_view.cfm?car=776&cartype=1 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
when i saw the original pics of the car next to the mirror building i loved it. i wouldn't do it personally but i was like wow now that is sickkkkkk. when i saw this one...i realized that it didn't do anything for me in some "real world" pics. i don't know what to think. not really a big fan of it in these pics.
Umm no Lamborghinis and Ferraris where the first to have things such as bodykits and doors that didn't open conventional. The Ricers where the ones who stole the rearwings, bodykits and now the lambo doors, next thing you know some jackass is gonna say that lambo doors are sooo rice. BTW this is a repost.
Wow thanks for the history lesson. My point is that the work I see in that kit adds no more function to the Gallardo than Lamborghini has already done, and my first impression of the kit is that it makes a killer car look like he's trying to be something he's not. It may be well built, and the rear view of the fender flares do resemble the old Countach, but the rest is not to my liking. The first Lambo "body Kit" as you call it was form following function, Wolf's, Wallace's, Dallara's and Pirelli's contribution to create the times best handling car in the world. I diddn't check, but I hope that Gallardo does not have "Lambo doors" or I will cry rice.
so you are saying the increased width on the wheels that are a full inch wider in the fronts and 1inch and half in the rear which necessitated the bodykit is not form following function? and the bigger tires dont help with greater grip? I always had the notion that tuning companies offer upgrades like these to elevate performance beyond what the factory offers... no merely for bling factor...
Saw it a couple weeks ago in Monterey and wasn't really impressed, will try and dig up a few pics later.
