Thank you so much for your very kind words. There will be many more to come. Right now I'm working on a 3 piece 8" by 10"s of a carrera gt closeups. One of the wheel, one of the center console w/ shift knob, and one of the top of the motor. All are originals I took at a show and now drawing to be framed. Those will hopefully be done tomorrow and I'll post them up. And yes many people do like to point out the flaws, on drawing forums I ask kindly that people dont criticize my work because I know where the flaws are. It really does make your work so much better when your confident about it and you know its your best work. Thanks again!

Prismacolor pencils and markers. These are blendable and work really well for shading if you pracitce enough. Try 'em out sometime. I suggest trying out a few colors at a time as they get pricey when you buy them by the box set like I did. Luckily I got the hang of it and liked it right away.

Well, pictures of my drawings can be found in this board. You are free to critizise. In fact, I welcome critizism.

    for example

And let´s see your pictures while were at it.

Seeing all these drawings has made me want to post a pic of a couple of pieces of artwork I've just finished. I used to draw all the time as when I was a kid I wanted to be a car designer.

Now I just seem to spend a fair bit of time using CorelDraw and Photoshop instead of using a pencil. These are going on my wall! Would be interested to know what you guys out there think?

This kid was nice enough to share his work with us so we can enjoy them. He didnt ask....Critic me.!!!.... You are the negative one I was talking about. I dont know....perhaps you're feeling a little pressure? My philosophy is...if you want to be negative...shut the hell up! If there were more negative people like you....CarreraGT might not post anymore...sheesh...

    First of all: settle down.

Second of all: fill in your profile. We like to know whom we are dealing with.

Thirdly: What gives you the impression that my comment was negative? Au contraire: my comment is very positive and the fact that I gave a little critical feedback doesn´t change that one bit.

Fourth: What gives you the impression that CarreraGT doesn´t want any honest feedback? I know I post my drawings for two reasons: for people to see and (if possible) enjoy and, secondly, for people to leave me any feedback regarding to whatever critizism they may have. Since when is constructive critizism a bad thing?

And finally: What am I supposed to feel insecure about?

So, in short, what the hell is your problem?

John great work, I like those alot! Same to you GTE very nice. Before this thread gets out of hand haha, I dont mind criticism, I just don't like it from the people who aren't the best artists. Like GTE and others who have great artistic abilities, those are people I can learn from becasue they've had plenty of experience. But others like on the drawing forum that Im a part of are nothing but negative, like oh do this, fix this, try this. All fine, but when they post their art work and you criticize it they get real defensive, and it just makes for an immature forum.

Well said man, well said... When I first posted a pic of some of my photoshop stuff, someone commented and said "so all your really doing is editing pictures, that sucks, I hoped you were drawing it by hand." Well if he had read what I wrote above the pic, he may have noticed I do draw them by hand, just using a PC TABLET, but because it was done entirely on computer it wasn't good enough for him. I was kind of pissed off about that comment initially, but then I realized I posted it on here, people will say what they think and I can't stop that. But I totally agree with you, constructive criticism from good artists is always nicer.

Again your cars are looking quite good. I know you've been using Prismacolour pencil crayons, have you tried there artistic markers?? I was wondering how they were, I love the pencils, just havn't used the markers yet.

The markers are nice. I tend to use them as a base color. They are hard to work with but it's like anything, you have to practice alot. Plus their 4 times the price of a pencil lol.

Nice pictures! I just noticed this thread.

They made me think of folders to keep your papers in.
I wonder if there are any around anywhere similar to that?
    Probably not, huh. Too Cool.
