Read post 21 again. No-one said it was a transverse V8. It is a longitudinal V8 with a transverse gearbox. TB does stand for Transverse Berlinetta. ;)
I havent got any more pics sorry. :)

    Slightly OT -
OK now Im really confused, from the issue of Classic and Sportscar with the Yellow 355B on the cover (May 06)

"The gearbox didnt only have an extra ratio, it had been turned through 90deg. to sit longitudinally behind the engine, to the instant benefit of the gearchange."

and then from conceptcarz.com I get this -
"The F355's drivetrain featured a 6-speed transverse gearbox"

Which is it transverse or longitudinal gearbox?

Some please set me straight or sideways as the case may be... : )

I always thought that with the 348 TB=Touring Berlinetta, TS=Touring Spyder, and then there was the full convertible model. Then i thought with the 355, GTB=Gran Touring Berlinetta, GTS=Gran Touring Spyder, and then there was the full convertible model, the Spyder. AM i wrong?

    Sorry to confuse ya. :)
I have many articles here about Ferrari's in general. The 348/355 are longitudinal V8's with Transverse mounted gearbox. :)
Im sure I am correct. Unless someone can tell us otherwise? :)

No worries :) I confuse me too.

So Ok I got word from a fellow FChatter 355 owner that its a Longitudinal gbox.

The air intakes obviously obscure the view. Ill try to dig up a visual.

    Back to more white 355s!!

We call one of the local White 355s the Maytag Special...he may want to sell it. PM me if you want me to contact him. It is a TB.

Car is superb. Original owner and current owner are both Houston FCA members. I have seen the car at just about every Houston FCA event I have been to. Owner is a great guy.

That car has been there for quite a while. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, I LOVE the blue in the interior.
