+1 That's "Mondial t" to you, sir! LoL! The babe-magnet is back on the road and starting great now, BTW.
Sorry. I forgot about the new BBi. Other than Noto's TR and F355, who else here that's a regular poster owns a Ferrari that's not a Mondi, 3x8 or Dino?
Hmmmm..... Good point. Where did the 550 and 360 guys go? (Now I've hijacked the thread; sorry 'bout that....)
haha when I read the original post a few days ago, my early stereotype of Ferrari owners was confirmed but after the responses, you guys are cool people. I guess a rotten apple can ruin reputation.
Che wiz..... I think you guys should calm down already. First of all, Frank and I decided to have a small get together with some of our local Ferrari people. Nothing more. When asked about it, all of the local guys said they would be coming without their wives, or girlfriends. For whatever reasons. Because of that, I thought it might be uncomfortable, or dare I say boring to have x amount of guys here and maybe one woman. THAT"S ALL.... No discrimination. That's it in a nutshell... If any ladies would like to attend, that's fine. Not like any of you have ever had a night out with the guys, or watched a football game with the boys.... Anyhow, it's the 17th. We're gonna eat, drink, and talk about cars. Especially the ones we own! Paul
Am I the only one who noticed that there was nothing addressing the whole thing about Jason not being invited because of his age?
No you're not the only one that noticed that. The "big deal", to answer Soundguy's question, is that (1) the original post did not explain the motivation behind the "men only" comment (which actually makes some sense in the explanation later given) and just came across as odd. THEN, (2), in response to legitimate questions by Jason, the poster proceeded to insult and patronize Jason, which was uncalled for. THEN, (3), rather than apologize for that and say simply -- "Hey guys, here's the deal, we didn't mean to insult anyone or be jerks, we were just trying to do XYZ", the response is more along the lines of "jeez, what are you guys b*tching about." All in all, not cool. But, as with so many other issues like this that come up on occasion, I'm over it. Not worth my time... I'm sure some of you feel the same. Besides, after Emil's hilarious post, I don't think much more can be said.
just reading the title of this thread makes me think that this meet ends in a sauna full of guys.... ew
Hey Paul... maybe you shld do the posting for these things in the future. Take the keyboard away from Frank.
Ill drink to that! I havent been on here long and havent met alot of the people yet, but i can tell we would all have a great time and are all mostely alike, alot of cool people are in this tri state section!
Hey, what's wrong with Misogynists??? Oops, my husband is cracking up as he reads this!! Guess I won't be joining you all.
You should come to the Festa Di Ferrari of Stamford on September 24th which is open to women and men.
Yes Jim - I enjoyed your luncheon in your Danbury garage a couple of years ago & look forward to any similar future events (maybe something involving the Enzo/P-5). Thanks
Paul and Frank, Here is a list of cars I have coming to the get together on the 17 th. 2-308s 1-355 2 mondials 1-360 1-328 1-512 1-tr I also have 4 others that have other commitments and will join us in the future.
Frank, that was COMPLETELY uncalled for. Jason may be young, but someone as "experienced" as you seems rather immature in your way of talking to people... The last time a sales lady from an upstate NY ferrari dealer hinted that I was too young for her time, miss out on four Ferrari's that I bought through a different dealer in the past 24 month. I suggest you don't judge a person by his/HER looks, age...you'll NEVER know when your path will cross again.
