Then there is always the possibility that some of us like to enjoy our cars in private. Never felt the need to hang around a bunch talking about it when the time could be spent doing it.

    3's a crowd.

I wasn't trying to do a let's sit around with our thumbs up our @ss kind of day. It was a let's meet at 8am eat breakfast and spend a few hours or all day driving the twistys and such up in the foothills. A day for everyone to get away from where ever they need to get away from and have some fun.

Hey JM, I like that photo.

Go Girl was developed by Shari of Shari Berries, to use up the extra juice from her chocolate dipped strawberry production line.

Smart girl Shari is, I think of Go Girl as the "Pringles" of the dessert industry.

Very, very succesful product so far.

When I took my car up the coast in Northern California, I had a great time. Way less traffic and great scenery.

The traffic in Los Angeles is becoming unbearable. We have thousands of people cutting through my neighborhood to get to the 405 frwy north everyday. Takes an hour for me to drive 5 miles some nights.

In my "Car Club," we have a B.A.M aka Big Ass Meet. Evey year, all of the Nor. Cal and So. Cal guys meet. One year, somewhere in Nor. Cal, the next, somewhere in So. Cal. This is possibly the only way to settle this; whoever has the best meet wins. Nor Cal is more laid back because our main stimulant is organic coffee..So Cal on the other hand, they get a little weird because they use heavy duty stimulants. Nor. Cal is laid back and So. Cal is just party time. I prefer Nor. Cal to live but So. Cal to socialize. In So. Cal women can be Bit**es though.

NOR CAL > SO CAL! It's too damn hot out there, wtf is wrong with you people!

Well, I was born and raised in the Bay Area, and yes, there is a gene in the body of the NorCal folks that establishes a heiarchy between the two areas. It dates back to the beginning of the State - in the mid-1800s ... the real action was in the northern part of the State. Remember, Monterey was the first city/area that flew the U.S. colors and the "Bear" revolt occured in the north. The State's history began in the north. I'm generalizing, but the Old Money and political power is in the North, and the New is in the South. This is typical N vs S ... just look at L.A. vs San Diego ... most (95%) in SD have nothing good to say about LA ... and don't worry, I'm working on them, one person at a time. LA rocks ... SoCal rocks.

Now, after World War II, the population increased greatly in the South as compared to the North. San Diego, for example, was truely a two-horse town before WWII. As we all know, voting power is king, and SoCal sure flexes it's muscles (as it should).

When I moved down to SoCal in the 90's, all of my NorCal friends could not believe I would even consider moving south. Frankly, all of California kicks A$$, so where ever you live in California, you should consider yourself fortunate. Sure California has issues, but it sure out-weights the alternative - living in PA, NY, FL etc.

Let's face it - the "real" car culture is in SoCal. Sure the Goodguys starting in the Pleasanton (East Bay), and there is Pebble, but for everyday, in-your-face car culture, SoCal is where it's at.
