I think the Blu scuro looks better, but then again thats the colour of mine. I have never seen another one in Aus . There was a GTS that I knew of, but never saw. It was changed to resale red.

No, . . I was just curious if you was
going to sell it after it is completed.

    Just curious, . . . that's all.

    Nice comment though.

Not that YOU couldn't afford it, no one would pay for all the hours going into it. I will have way more time and money into it than it will ever be worth.

That's... wow. The front headlamps look more recessed than other Muras I've seen. Do they not pop up like the others? I'd read where some S' had different front hoods I wasn't aware they also had different headlamp options.

    Great car.

Jon, since you are going all out on this project. Make sure you get some Cibie H-4 lights. Dan Stern has them http://www.danielsternlighting.com/ He can also get the NLA Marchal Amplilux, Cibie Biode, and other distinctive, period lamps.

The headlights are wrong and will have to be changed. Right now they are fixed. Probably got tired of them not working.

Yellow was an option. I think someone posted a small bumper 911 with those lights with driving lamps mounted next to them on f-chat. Here are the clear Marchal Amplilux http://www.panteraplace.com/page157.htm The Cibie Biodes are on the 330 http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135412140&postcount=26 Carrello's version was the JOD. These lamps were not H-4s. H-4 uses two filiments in one bulb. The Amplilux, Biode and JOD used two separate single filiment bulbs. The Amplilux was available with an H1/H1 or H1/H3 combo. Because it uses two bulbs, a wiring change is required. Two sockets per lamp instead of one. Here is the Carrello JOD http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136010754&postcount=17

Doing a resto on the Miura next?

From what i've read the Miura is a bit more complicated to restore then the Dino. But looks like you have a deep interest and resources so hope it works well for you.

    I found this website interesting:

No WAy! Yes there was a gasket. The miura project is way in the future. Just covered it up and parked it in the corner of my hobby shop.

You'll have a lot of work to do just to update the Miura and using the SV specs as your baseline. For example, on the pre SVs, the engine and drivetrain shared the same sump. While the engineers at the time thought this was "kill two birds with one stone", they didn't understand tribology. Engine oils are alkaline and gear oils are acidic and each requires its own additives. Pre SVs chassis flex too much. And there is supposed to be a linkage/carburator fix to keep these cars from catching fire. In the magazine Super Car Classics (late 80s/early 90s?from the UK) There was a mulitmonth series on http://www.omicron.uk.com/ restoring and updating a Miura. The SVs had differenct CV joints also. PM Miltonian, maybe he know what I'm talking about as he seems to own every car magazine ever published.
