I'm not even sure if this is the best US region to post in but I'm looking for some firsthand info on the island of Bermuda. Anyone got any ideas who to speak too (or even the best forum to post the question in?) thanks in advance. Phil
I know folks from Puerto Rico chime in here, but I have never seen anyone from any of the islands. Except Palm Beach and Star. You might want to change the title of your thread to read "Bermuda Info Needed", or something like that, might get more attention. If you can't change it, just post a new thread.
Bermuda is probably the closet to North Carolina so maybe post the title ron suggests in the North Carolina section? You might get some Bahamas info here if you need it. BT
The question is what you want to know. Looking for friends or family after todays hurricane hit the island? US Citizens? If so contact the US Embassy.
thanks guys for the advice. I was researching for a proposed family holiday there in January and wanted some firsthand feedback as we are taking our baby with us. I didn't know that a hurricane had hit Bermuda today, that puts a different slant on things!
wil have nothing to do in January. May be colder though. Don't know. Check some climate charts. It is located outside of the Carolinas so that gets nippy in January. May want to check further south. Bahamas (I recommend every one of the islands but Providence and Grand Bahama), Eluthera is excellent and nice people. Also US and British Virgin Islands and all the way down, with the exception of some big islands where mainly the french house.
bermuda is very nice that time of the year. you'll be quite comfortable there. the atmosphere is very british. the storm is already past the island and there was no damage to speak. there are several rental companies that have houses available online. go and enjoy yourselves.
