perfect 355 slipped away... lesson learned

You are entitled to your opinion as I am. You want to fluff a guy and pad his butt go for it. We are all big boys spending a good amount of money on a toy. He didn't make a car deal.....if he wanted sympathy he got it, if he wanted a bunch of guys to follow behind and say you f-up he got it. Mission accomplished no?

These days dusk, AU$200,000 is US$154,079.
This car was US$70,000.........AU$90,862.

You will never see any tidy 355's sell for AU$90K in Australia anytime soon. They do vary from AU$150K to AU$200K at the moment. Not many, if any 348's are in the AU$90K region. They are around AU$100K-$110K+ at the moment.

 

Has the timing belt been changed? Always a key question. The 355 Berlinetta is a great car. A GTS wwould always be better but much harder to find as well as more costly. I enjoy driving my 355.

 

The car had 6K miles on it and all the services were up to date. Im sure the belt would have been done on this one. Glad to hear you enjoy driving your 355. I also love driving my 348.

 

when my red black gts 6 speed surfaced 5 miles form my house i did not hesitate even tho i was not quite ready. i tried to play disinterested but i was "taken" for asking price 81k and don't regret it for a sec.

good luck hunting. gtss are rare birds indeed. i kept looking for awhile after i bought just to see - there were never more than 2 out of 60 cars at any given time on cars.com or autotrader.

a tip if you don't have already use search terms "gts" on cars.com to readily find them.

 

good thing you let that one go. lots of stuff missing on it no spark plug cover on one side, no valance on that side either. no books or tools? plenty of fish out there to buy and lots of new fisherman to get cooked on nicely detail cars
