Nothing really new. Car is for sale since July 06, the price isn't too high. But the 575M market is really going down due to the release of the 599...I think that's the reason why nobody bought it during the last 3 months...
I hadn't seen this before and its a pleasure to look at the photos and read about the upgrades. Perhaps you could elaborate on a few things; 1) any measurable performance such as 1/4 mile, 0-100, track times? 2) any qualified testers/magazines written articles with their impressions? 3) price? 4) thoughts on importability to other countries, eg., Canada/US? Looking forward to learning more. Cheers.
now that i have seen it, what is perhaps the case is that it is so heavily modified. It would be hard to maintain on a daily basis as the clearance is small and the spoiler on the back will be an acquired taste. Nice increases in power and torque...though I doubt the 575 was starved of power
For Germany, that's just incorrect. The car is situated there as you could read. The market here felt down about $ 10 - 15 k after the 599 release. Gonna call them on monday and ask.
I do not know the market in Germany. I am in the US and what I tell you is correct. In the US, it is hard to get a 599. Some are going for $50-75K over MSRP. This makes the average cost $320K or more. 575M range from $165-$190K. The average price in the ferrari market letter is $176k, and the total reduction in price since the 599 was introduced is about 3%. This is about the estimated error margin - so prices have changed little. 550's are still about $150K for a low mileage example. There are some 550's for sale at $160K. Mileage is important. In the US, most cars are under 10K miles and some even under $2k miles. Enjoy Germany! K
US pricing is...sheer madness. The thing about the miles is comparable to what we have in Germany. Most cars' mileage doesn't exceed the 10k. But the price of the cars is about $160 k over here. At the moment, the highest price for a 575M is about $215k, the lowest is $ 130k. But none of the cars above 170$k is sold in a commensurable period. The 550s you can buy on really good terms here. The average price is lower than $ 100k. So go and import them! ;-)
