I had my 2001 360 F1 out for a drive in the auto mode. When I came to a stop, the car shifted to 1st..the engine stalled..a tone beeped..and the F1 trans warning light came on. I hit both paddles to get N and the car started up like nothing happened. This happened 3 times in the last 4 months...But twice in one day. Now it seems fine. Let me know if anyone knows what the problem is. Thanks.

Low fluid level and/or pump failing. search for it, there is a recent thread about the pumps.

It would behoove you to take it to someone with an SD2 to check the transmission fault codes.

If there is a serious failure in the system it will do exactly that. Your car is having the automotive equivalent of passing out and you still have not taken it to the shop?
