His new house is near Lake Konstanz in south Germany. Very close to the Swiss border. What's up in Bangkok ??? Still raining every day ???

The house is in Gland, Switzerland not in Germany.

 

He initially tried to buy a house here in Switzerland close to Lake Konstanz, Wolfhalden (very close to where I live) but in the end planning permission for a stable was refused and the deal fell through.

 

Where did he get the money for all that??? I bet that place costs over a million bucks easy.

I don't know how expensive the market is in Switzerland, but I would guess it would be in the ten million dollar and up plus mark (considering the land as well).

money is all from ferrari , sorry from (scuderia) marlboro around 30.000.000 $ a year estimates say that MS owns more than 100.000.000 $ today and there is a small law in switzerland : if you cant work in your country , FORMULA 1 is forbidden there , you have to pay very small tax ,for MS less than 5 %

 

Try multiplying that $100M times 8 buddy !!! Last estimate of his worth was $800 MILLION ..........................

It's very sad to see what happens when you don't plan for your retirement. With better planning, I'm sure he could have afforded a bigger garage...

I was looking at houses in Geneva a couple months ago, and was shocked. Makes So Cal seem cheap. 2 bedroom houses on a 1/4 acre were 1.5-2 mil. Schumy's estate is easily north of 25 mil.

 

I used to live in that part of Switzerland... and all along lake Leman ( geneva ) there are large Mannor homes with large estates... that go for many $$$ Millions... I would think that an estimate to build something like that would be around $12 - 15 Million us... with out land purchase... an other 3-4 Million ... so I guess $20 Million could be right... but it would be on the high side, unless you were buying a historic residense.... Prost used to live in Yens... right at the base of a mountain.. been there a bunch of times... and you would never know that he lived there... Stewart lived in Gland... or close to it... Its a spectacular part of the world, with so much to do, the weather is great al most all year long... in 89 I was sun bathing at Christmas time... sking in the AM and then layed out in the afternoon... If I could afford it I would move back in a heart beat!!!

Shumi has what 70 wins, plus on the podium 2/3's of the time he shows up that must be 200 plus trophys, that would take about 10,000 Sqfeet itself, and that house doesnt look THAT Big, maybe 15 to 20 SQFT
