i must admit your silver 348 looks great...although i dont know about the placement of your shields...to me they look a bit off...seems like the part closer to the wheel well is too high which makes it look off balance...hopefully they are the plastic kind that easily come off and then you can metal ones on in the proper area...

Thanks for the warm welcome all. I'm still working out whats wrong with it. So far it seems like minor bits and pieces. Slow windows, door switch U/S, mobile phone brackets screwed through the leather!! Rattles, sticky interior paint etc.

K, you're right about the shields. They're not even straight! I dont think they were original fitments on this car (1993 TS). I was thinking of just removing them.

LOL!!!!!! When I saw your posting, I knew as I looked down the list... to expect something to that effect!!! LOL!!!!

If the shipping truck doesn't break down again, let's say in Iowa this time, I should have the car on Friday. Until then, Chris is making sure the wait is gonna be the kind I will never forget! LOL!!!

    Hi Zakeen,

I thought I just heard Miss Smart telling her big brother (348) to get those front wheels rotating in the right direction:)

    Cheers, Hank

Yes yes, I even knew someone here would tell me about it soon as I upload another pic! Everytime I upload one I get that comment.

My problem is, everytime I go to the car to change the wheels, I JUST WANT TO DRIVE IT!

I know what your thinking. A re-clock. Buying this car was kinda scary. It was too perfect, too clean and too new looking. I had a Ferrari inspection, not a report but paid 3 hours of there time to show me why I shouldnt buy the car. We went through everything. He showed me where to look to find of any major damages or anything. This car had nothing. The mechanic was quite in shock of the condition.

I still didnt feel content untill I drove the car home(800km away) to my home mechanic. I took it to them, told them to go through the whole car, anything that needs to be replace, replace it. If in doubt, throw it out. They had the car for a day, just to check it for a list of new items. They found nothing. All they said was change the belts because the time is due and congratulated me on a very good buy.

Even when I installed the new speakers, inside of the doors showed no repaint or anything. You could eat off the inside of the doors.

but when I see pic's of Vegas1 old car looking perfect. Makes me kinda believe that its still possible to have a perfect 15year old car in new condition.

On my car, the engine bay cleanness, leather seats, the body work, the amount of stone chips, the amount of dirt under the car, the amount of scratches on the bonet and floor pannels match up to the amount of kms on the speedo.

Unless we have owned these cars since new, we will never know.
