Uhh now this means im going to have to spend 700 bucks and buy the system and the game. lol how hard must have it been to sway ferrari into letting gt use the cars?
I don't think it was about swaying Ferrari, I think EA had the rights to Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborgini. It was all a licsensing issue.
there's a rumour that you will have to actually buy cars/tracks using REAL money. something like $1 for a car/track etc etc the game might end up costing you £300!!
Is the game being released simultaneously with the system on Nov. 17? Also is this an extension of GT4 or are is it going to be a progression like the switch from GT3 to GT4 where you had to earn licenses and start racing from the beginning again?
I'm used to it with WoW This is the way I look at it, I currently play WoW about 15 hours a week, something that brings me that much enjoyment over the last 14 months is worth $15/month to me. WoW is also constantly releasing new game content to keep me occupied so I do not get bored, this keeps the game fun and exciting. In the past Gran Turismo has just released a game and that was it, now that we have to pay per car or per track, they're going to constantly be releasing new tracks and cars in order to bring in more revenue and this is going to make for a better game. I feel sorry for Gran Turismo in the past for charging $50 for something I spent hundreds of hours on, they really cheated themselves in the past and I fully support their new decision.
It's about freakin' time. Now all we have to do is wait a half a decade until the game comes out. Maybe it will be on the PSIV by then.
GT4 HD is really nothing more than GT4 with high definion (hence the HD). GT5 wont be out until late 2008 I think. At least that is what I have read.
Yes ferrari will be in there but why is there an interior shot? http://ps3.gamedaily.com/game/features/?gameid=5528&id=409
When I started GT4 my GT3 lincenses carried over along with 200k or some amount of money it would let me transfer
Well people have been wanting interior views of the cars. Maybe they finally did it. The Blue Ray discs have the space for them, and the PS3 system can process them, so I guess why not.
Finally - all those Ferrari's we recorded for Gran Turismo 2 back at Laguna Seca and Sears Point will finally get to be heard. We recorded everything, but the Ferrari deal fell through back then (and for the subsequent sequels) - until now.
I remember in the jap verision of GT3 there was a JGTC Lambo Diablo. The next game I better see both lambos and ferraris or else i ain't buying it.
