I was unaware of your condition and wish you a speedy recovery.

Again, the product you are announcing looks great. I hope you can inform us when you are recovered and overseas shipping presents less of a problem.

Thank you to Lusso64 for the offer of assistance. In ordering from overseas one often comes across absurd problems or prejudices (let's not get started on Ebay), I had wrongly assumed this was the case.

    Cheers,

    Julio

    Hi Peter,

How many temp gun units, and superglues, would it take to make the UPS $36 charge make sense for shipping to Spain, or Ireland?

Hey, Pete - looks like it may have been closed by whomever for being a duplicate post - it remains Closed http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120776 in the Technical SubForum and Open http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120696 in the Off Topic SubForum, where somebody who shall remain nameless mentioned something about rule #2.

Despite rule #2, would you like all 3 merged, and if so, where?

I've got a whole lot to do today, so if somebody else doesn't merge before I can, I'll get to it when I can later. With your persistence, it looks like you'll be hobbling around with all kinds of orders!

At the profit I'm making, no volume makes up for the shipping!! With the glue I include, I net about $.75 per sale!

A ton of orders in the last 24 hours. I guess those who ordered may in part may be thumbing their noses at the Mod that closed the original thread! I want to kiss all of ya! :) :) :) ..............OK, I won't go that far, but THANK YOU!!!! It's fun filling orders for everyone!

I take your point about netting $.75 per sale, but isn't there some volume number that makes sense, and I pickup the shipping.

I really want to get myself one of these temp guns and by taking a number, to make the shipping charge balance out, they would make good giftds for particular friends.

No, because I'm working off a flat monolythic cost of the inventory I have on hand. Everybody gets the same price. This could change if I place another buy from Fluke, as they will have to give me a better cost since they have moved the production to China since I made the initial purchase of 1K units.

Julio, no worries... I used to live in Australia so I know how annoying it can be when you can't get stuff because of your location.

Offer still stands for you and anyone else... If Peter wants, we can assemble a "foreign" order, he can ship it all to me, and I'll repack and send via USPS to each of you. Depending on the number of "orders", I'll either eat the postage or I'll get a paypal acct....

I'll meet YOUR kindnesss to others half way on the UPS freight charge from the US. You'll have to send me an email at [email protected] to remind me of this when you are ready to place a qty order. I'll probably break even and cover my costs.

    DOOOOOOOOOOOUGHT!....Nice post Darth:)

I WILL mail abroad. Simply visit http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&item=320026687850&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 to order. Please note that I'll PASS on mailing the super glue with out of state, non-UPS shipments. I want to avoid any issues with the post office for shipping it as a hazardous material. Just give me a couple of days after you order for shipping because It's difficult to get the the post office every day.

Thank you! I think I failed to mention that if you hold the button down, you can do 'continuous' monitoring. If you aim it at a target and push the button once, it will give you the readout for 5-7 seconds. It is a pretty cool device!

Sorry to drag the thread up - I just ordered one Peter. I dont have PayPal so I asked my father to send the payment - if possible ship to my work address (listed in the PayPal comments), or you can ship it to my Dad's and I will get it the next time I am there, if you only ship to PayPal verified address.

Also, do you have a bunch of these left? We do a couple of industry trade shows (motorcycle) and I've found that a couple of low priced "gadgets" sell well at the shows and earn us a few bucks to pay for the bar tab that night :). I was wondering if in Oct/Nov timeframe I could order maybe 30 of them and see how they do at the show? I assume bikers would like them to keep tabs on engine temps, to monitor tire temps, and the like. Then again I could be wrong but at that low a financial gamble it's not like I'd lose my shirt if I sold none :)

    How are they packaged?

    Peter -

I got mine a few days ago. I have discovered a terrific use for the IR temperature monitor:

If I aim it at Luca's butt, a cold reading of about 75-80 degrees means his diaper is fine. Properly timed, a reading of 90+ tells me there's a present inside his Pampers!

    Nice, huh?
