Found it accidentally just browsing. Will definitely watch for him now. That's awesome that you were on the track with him once.

Yes, he has to entertain the band wagon F1 fans who like to see some WWE style story lines!

I let my racing speak for itself... there is no need for cheap talk! Nor any need to prove anything to you.

This thread is however about Ernesto. I was merely pointing out his career similarities to NASCRAP bound JPM!

Really? Which series would that have been in? Which licences do you hold? Which ones of my friends in ChampCar, ALMS or Grand Am Rolex would know of you and your driving prowess?

Yea, I had one of those also. Guy looked to be just a little younger than me. Thought he was probably past his prime in racing. Until he took three of us out in a 740i at speeds I only thought possible in a full blown race car. He ended up being my instructor in an M5 and M3.

The line I remember him repeating several times is that "smooth is quicker. Fast is not necessarily quick".

Hi, Jon. Glad to hear you are having fun. Keep it up..............
Dorsey Schrader (Did I spell that right? It has been about 15 years ago).

I'll take that response to confirm that you are indeed a better fan than you are racing driver.

Sorry, I incorrectly phrased my last response. It should read:

    Hey Jon,

Glad to hear of your good fortune in your racing experiences. I remember some of those types of things happening to me also. Only thing was, mine was in MX racing.

I remember passing Marty Tripes once when he was a privateer only to be passed in the next corner like I was going backwards. In one of my threads somewhere in the archives there is a picture of me on my old Kawasaki factory 250 ride passing a future 250 national champ. I believe it was on 05-14-2004. My old McLaren photo, roadster, M/X photos of myself.http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18130 Only time I ever beat him. I think he must have broken something for me to do that. Real eye opening when we get to see real talent on the track at the same time as us. NOt saying you are not talented...........but we both realize it when an up an coming possible champion goes by us.

Oh, BTW, the one I passed and beat was Tony Distefano, riding a CZ as a privateer who later rode Honda to a 250 cc National Championship.

Sorry your thread got contaminated. Imperial has a way of doing that.......don't you Imperial???????

    Jon,

Are you going to be doing any events in Texas/Oklahoma? Just thought that if you might be close, I might try to make it out and introduce myself...............
