It's worst when people ask you how much you paid for your wife. I am offended for two reasons: 1- it's just rude to ask 2- I don't pay for my women!* Damn filipino mail order bride GP! Last time I get in on that. * all payments are made via Nabbs'Import/Export Inc, LLC You know what they say: 90% of women are battered, and to think, here I've been eating mine plain for all these years.
Come one. Really. How many people actually ask what your wife costs? Most guys know they are astronomically expensive and are never really paid off. (j/k, just j/k to all those whom have found their rare gems)
my ex girlfriends have cost me plenty...i can only imagine what a wife costs. That ferrari isnt looking so expensive anymore....
Yah see that's the problem with this thread; us married guys are barely allowed to have credit cards -- let alone an uber card! I'm given $10 pocket change, a note pinned to my chest with instructions where to return me in case I get lost, and a look of fear that is "my mother-in-law is stopping by this weekend." But I really can't complain (part of our pre-nub, boy did I get screwed on that one!)
See what you don't understand is that you don't just marry a woman -- you marry her whole family. Who, invariably, detests you -- and shudders at the thought of what horrible things you do to her. Even after being married to you for a few years, your father-in-law will still call you "John" and when reminded that your name, is in fact, not John he will ask: "whatever happened to John? Now there was a REAL man!" Just when you think you are starting to get over the damage your parents inflicted on you: you get a whole new set of parents! Not that I'm bitter...
You'll learn that there are certain places to use the centurion card and certain places not to. Rookie mistake. Just kidding ;-) Generally speaking, the centurion card is a status symbol and those who have it are more interested in showing it off than using its "benefits" My wife and I had it for a year and dumped it in favor of the platinum which has the always helpful 24/7 concierge in addition to all of the high level programs including fine dining, hotels, rental cars, access to airport vip lounges, free 1st class int'l companion tix, etc. etc. Hell, I can even charter a jet through the platinum card. There's also the "invitation only" events and the fact that this month I can flash the card at certain aston-martin dealerships to get a vantage out for a test drive - no questions asked. What more could I want in a charge card?
i think its just a wierd question to ask. But nevertheless, people seem to ask it all the time. I dont really take it personal cause i can see how one might be curious, but sometimes its little bit uncomfortable.
