Do pedestrians wave at you while driving your Ferrari?

Well, the 355 has a lot of presence, and the 328 has....8 cylinders, too.

 

So then at Hooters you had to field a "wave" of questions?

 

348's extract the same euphoria from the general public - the "wow" factor.

 

Walking, driving, sitting, on bikes, on skateboards, in gas stations, you name it and I've only had the car for about 4 months.

One guy was walking with his girlfriend and almost knocked her off her feet as he spun around to watch me drive by.... I'm sure he didn't get any that night

 

Are you sure that you just didn't have a BIG oil leak!

 

I recently got smiles and a wave from some Bohemian hippie chick in a Subaru wagon!! I couldn't believe it, even granola types like the 355 spider.

 

It wasn't Paris Hilton was it ???

 

Paris Hilton+ Subaru-Hippie-Granola doesn't equate, she is the furthest thing from Bohemian!

 

My 348 seems basically invisible to the NASCAR crowd here in North Carolina. Probably because it's black, it's a bit less "in your face".

The guy at the Krispey Kreme window yesterday evening was impressed.

He said "Man, how much did that ride set you back?"

My retort?

"$1 less than a divorce settlement"


Other than that, it's pretty invisible.... which, I happen to enjoy.

 

In Central London I always get tourists taking photgraphs and kids pointing.

I also get requests to rev the engine from time to time and one evening about a month ago I had 3 separete female pedestrians comment on how nice the car was. Only time that's happened. It's mainly men who notice it.

Oh...and more people are now begining to say they prefer the 348 in black.

 

Yeah, we're getting waved at and occasionally given the finger...

 

I get the waves!

But if I got a dollar for every smile it put on someones face I would be driving an Enzo by now!

 

I get some of that too in the 355 spider guys giving the thumbs up or wanting to race.

EXCEPT!!!! I can say what really gets the girls looking is when I already have one in the car !! I have no idea what that is about, but girls always do a double take when I have a girl in the car with me .

Just a few days ago I pulled up to a nice restaurant with a date and alot of the guys were getting pissy at their girlfriends for staring and smiling! It might be that competitive thing with girls.....but I'm not gonna complain !

 

Mostly kids wave at me in the 348. Occasionally another sports car driver will give the thumbs up, and very rarely will a woman make a positive comment.
A few weeks ago there was a nice BMW M5 next to me at the light when I had my daughter with me.
A 40ish woman driving with two 20ish guys in the back seat.
They roll down the window and ask "Hey, do they make that car for men?"
I answered, "Yes, and maybe when you grow up mommy will let you ride in front!".

Quick cars, and quick answers, Ferrari drivers got it all.

I happened to catch an MTV show where someone used the same "Do they make that ____ for men" comment, and I understood the kid was not too smart, unable to come up with insults on his own. Clearly, he should be a future Aztek owner.

I bought my 348 with high hopes of scoring all the chicks, but I have a kid fan base that love me more than the girls I was trying to attract.

 

kids waving: countless
guys giving thumbs up: 15-20 per driving season
chicks smiling: same as guys giving thumbs up
exposed breasts: 1 (and they were hawt)
exposed bums: 0

 

Just one breast?

Maybe change out the wheels or get a Tubi.

 

Dude...only been driving the car for 6 weeks. I think I am on a good pace. I feel confident I will get my fill of chests each summer. Love that Ferrari!!
