I was planning to do it BUT decided to sell my 360M now rather than wait for my new car to arrive - think its early April, isnt it? In that case, I'm pretty sure that the car wont arrive in time - however, if it does i will be there!

    ...err, if thats makes sense!

    Cheers

    Anyone interested PM me.

    Izza,

What's Magny Cors like to drive around i'm there on the 22nd of July with the Fiorano guys.
It will be my first time at this track looking forward to it.

Would have loved to join you in April but I'm at Donington on the 7th.
It would be too much of a rush to get back in time.

Do you normally drive down in the Fcarsor get them transported down?

Do you have any telemetary or lap data/times for Magny Cors?

    Wazza, you flatter me.

I haven't done many track days so there is no normal and based on my lap times at Go Kart circuits taking timing equipment is not worth it yet!

Historical background - last year my car broke down at Le Mans - fixed rapidly by Ch. Pozzi in Paris. Their labour rates were much less than Ferrari UK so come the next service I took the wife/car to Paris. They invited me to join in on a track day on the way to Paris. There I met a Ferrari test driver who gave me coaching. He is board member for FOC France and invited me to Magny Cours - cost Euro 300.

I will be driving car down there and the French boys have arranged rooms at local Novotel and a meal for the night before.

Karl/Manu hope to have 19" Stradale wheels for my spider by then so I if possible I will upgrade discs/pads and see what difference they make - had some fade last time.

    Joe,

I will be there, but going up via M25, M41 to Aylesbury to meet my brother and his 355. Then we blast over the great twisty road from Aylesbury to Buckingham. None of that rush hour, M40 stuff.

Whether we travel in convoy or you go your own way you need to leave plenty of time for the Monday morning M25 roadworks crawl.

    Izza,

    Understood.

I had the same problem before with my previous 360.
I upgraded the pads only and that made quite a bit of difference.
I was managing to get about 15 - 16 laps before the brake fluid started to boil instead of the 10 - 12 with the mormal pads.
So it is probably a good idea to upgrade the fluid as well otherwise you can blow the system somewhere.
I'm sure Karl will know which fluid would work best but there was also a thread on the subject in the general section if you do a search.
But it is still very important to do a 'cool down' lap to cool the system back down again, maybe even 2 lap if you're pushing hard even with the upgraded
    pads,discs & fluid.
Your car will thank you for it.

    Good Luck

    Joe,

It's most unusual to have any fading on the road.
Even if you drive hard i've never known it to happen.
First off, If it happens again don't stand on them - Pump them -
It will bring them back. Standing on them won't make them work again.
I think the fading you experienced was due to something else.
If it was a really cold day that can make the pedel very soft (have more travel) as the brake fluid expands when hot and contracts when cold.

If your travelling at speed on a motorway or main road the air rushing around them will actually cool the whole system down and make it less effective.
I suspect this is more likely to be the reason.

Maybe this is stating the obvious; In which case I'll shut up.!

365 bhp wants to rip up the track... Never done Silverstone in my 348 spyder. Done others though..... I am a bit late with my application.... If I cannot track my car I will still be coming. I would love have a ride in a 355 and 360. Never been out in one....... Any offers..
