In my car, I have not been impressed with Redline 75w90 (without the NS)

I changed mine out with Redline 75W90NS--per Redline rep. It made a huge difference in shifting---smooth with no grind!!!

I spoke with Redline rep as well. They recomend 75w90 NS for rear transaxle cars like Ferrari's. I have use 75w90 in my 308 and it worked fine. I think there is not a right answer, but any of the Redline products should be fine as long as you follow maintenance schedule.

The only difference except the anti slip additive is the NS has some corrosion additives that the regular does not. It also may stick to/ lubricate the trany gears better.

It changes into all gears fine afer a couple of miles so I have left the cables well alone, they can't be far off. I have no experience adjusting these so would probably end up making it worse..

I think ernie has a cable adjusting procedure that he helped Ferrarigirl out with not too long ago. Or whatever her name was? Or was it miltonian that posted the steps on here?? Do a search and you shall find. :)

I just changed mine tonight for NS. I'll report back when I've tried it. 2nd was not acheivable when cold and the lever is a bit bent forward from someone forcing it!!!

At the shop as a practice we use The 75-90NS because it is compatible with all the gearboxes we service but when there is a complaint of hard shifting in the cars without hypoid gears (308,328,348,355) we use Redline MTL. It was a favorite with many of the Challenge teams and makes the cars shift unbelieveably easy.

    Chris -

Lookin' good! Was that top fill plug tighter than a (fill in the blank)?? Mine required the strength of 12 oxen to open. Good thing fellow fchatter, "resnow", was helping!

Did mine as well this weekend, as you say, not a massive change, but enough to notice an improvement.
My drain plug was exactly the same as yours Chris.

Your not wrong, had to use a 1/2 inch impact gun to loosen mine.

I've used the OEM AGIP/Shell nonsense, RedLine's SuperLight Shockproof, and RedLine's MTL.

Forget the OEM. As for RedLine's MTL, I didn't get butter-smooth shifts out of it until I added an ounce of RedLine's SuperLight Shockproof to it in the tranny.

I have no idea if that's just my tranny or more widespread, though.

I only needed the socket this time, but it was hell of a lot tighter than I was expecting (it was me who did it last year so I know for a fact I didn't over-tighten it). Must be just how they are - the bottom plug wasn't exactly loose either.

Same thing with my previous 328GTS and current 355, for whatever reason, those things are hard to remove, even when properly torqued before. No idea why that is...

I changed to Redline NS last week and it has greatly improved things. I can now get 2nd when cold, but if I hurry it, the synchro cant keep up and it crunches in. It seems to be getting better though.

Its fine when warm. I would say it has transformed the car. Well worth the effort.
