Michael has been out and shows an S1 time of 67.6 vs 34.5 for same sector by Davidson. His S2 is 45.9 and S3 is 27.0 but two laps and no lap time.

Watching data on formula1.com - obviously no video feed.

Good Davidson jumped ahead of Fisi ! ! !

Schumi did a few installation laps and went back into the garage.
Massa looked like he did a flying lap or two.

I noticed Ferrari is running the Discs again this week, while they were absent in China...anyone know why?

    Here's what he did:

    Sato disqualified, Albers penalised

Super Aguri driver Takuma Sato has been disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix following the last-lap incident involving several drivers.

Sato, who had already been reprimanded earlier this season, was deemed guilty of blocking faster drivers during the Shanghai race and therefore has lost his 14th place finish.

Spyker-MF1 driver Christijan Albers has been penalised for the same offence. Since he hadn't been reprimanded before, Albers has had 25 seconds added to his final race time.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello, who was also under investigation following the last-lap accident, has escaped a penalty as the stewards ruled his crash with Nick Heidfeld was just a racing incident.

MS took a trip around the track pulled into the pits made a test pit stop, and went around again and pulled back into the pits without ever completing a lap.

    Edit:
He is out now on slicks looking really good!

    P1!

Michael still pulling off fastest sectors with Ammermuller in second. Alonso appears on the scene . . . great game of screwing with each other's minds.

Kimi into second and jumped into first at one point - he might as well make a good showing now as his racing isn't so good. Alonso jumps up to second behind Fisi.

I think the drying track really helped the ones that ran last. Very interesting!
Fisi and Massa put on a show :) P1 and P2
Schumi and Alonso P3 and P4

Nice to see the front runners out there not being afraid of the wet.

    Remy, I've already graduated.

I believe the brake cooling discs were on the dry tires only at the China GP, not 100% sure.

I apologize if this was already mentioned in this thread, but does Bridgestone have better rain tires for this event as they promised after China??

Looking good for a good race this weekend. Both the title contending teams are in top shape. I think Kimi is also looking good for a win if his car makes it to the end.

I am hoping for a great race. If FA has an engine with 120% power spurts we may have to hope for rain so he can not use it. I hope Ferrari has something "up their sleeves"

Thanks, I hope so. The real test will be qualifying, practice is just hype.

Bridgestone promised they would come up with improved rain tires, so if it rains for qualifying and for the race, I hope they live up to their promise. That could make or break the championship.
