>>I just tried my friends identical 308 FI computer. It had voltage from the green O2 wire & FV reading on dwell meter changed.< What happens with his computer in your car? Chances of having a buddy with *just* the part you might need to diagnose this without having to actually buy one are somewhat slim... make sense?
His car is just 2 months newer (exact same part), all the readings became normal with his cpu. I have a nos cpu sitting here now. I will install it this afternoon and report back.
Well, the jury is back. It was the FI computer. Installed nos computer, everything as it should be. A big thanks to everybody that help me along the way, it would have been impossible for me to diagnose on my own. Thanks again guys.....Larry
Larry, I wonder if someone (electronics expert) could find the fault in your old computer and get it working again...either a bad solder joint or bad component I would suppose.
I looked real close, could see no visibly bad components or cold solder joints (that is the failed fi computer in post 24) I also thought it rather strange that it failed while I was driving. Most electronic failures I have encountered occurred when restarting....
Nice! Grab Tom and bring the thing to Washington Sq. on Sunday morning. 10:00 We'll be down there with the green car and the GT4 if you can make it. R
